How to Spread One Million Words of Kindness with #Cinderella #BeKind

What is your footprint on the world?

In a world that focuses so much on words “gossip” and “negative,” I’m shining a light on a word that is not often used in everyday vocabulary. Kindness. Today, I’m asking for your help in a campaign that I truly believe in. The goal, to spread One Million Words of Kindness by National Kindness Day. Will you join Cinderella and Disney to become an Ambassador of Kindness? Only a few seconds out of your day could possibly change the world.

It was the eve of August 15th, 2015 when I was officially dubbed an Ambassador of Kindness. And this is not a title that I take lightly. Sitting to dinner at the beautiful Carthay Circle Restaurant inside of Disneyland, I was so moved to hear about the Cinderella One Million Words of Kindness Campaign. Just a few simple moments of your time can completely change the focus of this world. And YOU are the key to the success of this campaign. A little Disney magic? Absolutely. Let’s do this.

1. Have Courage

It’s easy to get sucked into the world of trending gossip and a negative state of mind. I absolutely have days when kindness is the last thing on my mind. You may be need to go outside of your comfort zone and set yourself apart. But it’s ok. Have courage to stand up for what you believe in.

2. Be Kind

No two words could be more true for this campaign. It’s perfect. Cinderella’s simple message of “Have courage. Be Kind” has touched people around the world. No wonder it’s become the center of this campaign. At the very heart of everything, be kind.

3. Share Your Words of Kindness

I did. It’s so fitting that with the announcement of the release of Cinderella on Blu-Ray and Digital HD that the One Million Words of Kindness campaign would also come to be. In the film “Cinderella,” Ella is told by her mother, “Where there is kindness, there is goodness; and where there is goodness, there is magic.” Now families everywhere can create this magic themselves by submitting words of courage and kindness and join Disney’s mission to bring more kindness to our world.

Head to and share your words of kindness. Each word will be counted and put towards a goal of One Million Words of Kindness by November 13, 2015, also known as World Kindness Day. It certainly is a lofty and ambitious goal to reach. Can we do it?

4. Spread the Word

The goal cannot be reached without your help. Spread the word about the Cinderella One Million Words of Kindness Campaign (just by using the share buttons on this page!) and help join a positive and beautiful movement. Join the conversation online with hashtags #Cinderella and #BeKind and tag @CinderellaMovie every time you spread kindness and love. Whenever there is a opportunity to spread goodness and kindness in this world, we need to do it.

5. Become an Ambassador of Kindness

Signing the pledge and sharing your hope for this world is one thing. But to commit to be courageous and kind…that can be life changing. That’s why with every pledge, you are dubbed an Ambassador of Kindness. Where your title proud and look at the amazing difference you are making. Then use your title to do more. Uplift a coworker. Smile at a stranger. Give to those in need. Use words of encouragement for a friend. And love. Always love.

I wanted to see the new Cinderella movie when it was in theaters, but I’m behind on everything. I’ll catch it on DVD.
