Bug Bento Lunchbox Idea

Is Spring here yet? While the weather is thawing here in Florida, guess who’s coming out to join the party? BUGS! My son is into everything creepy crawly these days, which inspired this amazing Bug Bento Lunchbox idea. Filled with your child’s favorite little friends, your kids will love eating up this bug friendly lunch!

What You Will Need:

  • 1 Sandwich of choice
  • Green Peppers
  • Black Olives
  • Celery
  • Peanut Butter
  • Raisins
  • Small Cherry Tomatoes
  • Toothpicks
  • Go-GURT Yogurt!

Kids lunchbox ideas

Using a large circle cookie cutter (or even a measuring cup), make and cut your sandwich into a circle shape. Using the black olives for eyes and nose and green peppers for antennae, your child will love this little “bug” eyed stare greeting them at lunchtime!

Ants lunchbox

No bug inspired lunch is ever complete without ants on a log! Fill your celery slices with peanut butter and line up your “ants.”

I just LOVE these little ladybugs! Start by threading a cherry tomato on a toothpick. Top with the half of a black olive. So easy!

And don’t forget the Go-GURT! Great for busy hands, this squeezable yogurt is the perfect addition to your child’s lunch! My son is loving his bug friends in this Bug Bento Lunchbox!

I am such a kid. I make Bento lunches for myself sometimes. LOL Love the ladybugs. Ants on a log are a childhood favorite. I like to switch sometimes for cream cheese and green olives.

Super cute lunch ideas and I’m sure the kids love them. My favorite is the peanut butter/celery – ants on a stick. I always like to throw in a cute note or an awesome card in the kids lunch boxes for a surprise.

What cute ideas! I absolutely love ants on a log. I actually made some of these recently to have a tasty snack for when my friends and I came over.
