Beauty And The Beast Rose Craft #BeOurGuest
No joke. My favorite Disney animated film of all time, Beauty and the Beast.
Needless to say, I am beyond inspired with Disney’s latest venture, the live action Beauty and the Beast movie coming this 2017. So inspired in fact, that we now have a Beauty and the Beast Rose Craft, and a big side of nostalgia. Come make your own Magic Rose in this DIY Beauty and the Beast craft, and be sure to scroll down to watch the new teaser trailer.
So much love. This kids craft definitely hits a soft spot in my heart. That perfect rose, glittering with a touch magic, suspended under the glass cover, waiting for kiss that will break the spell. Yup, goosebumps. So the challenge of recreating such perfection proved to be a mind boggle.
But don’t you worry. You and your kids will love making your own piece of Disney magic in this easy craft. With items you already have at home and a little creativity, you can display your magic rose as we await Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
What You Will Need
- Red Felt Square
- Red Glitter Glue Pen OR red glitter and glue
- Green Pipe Cleaner
- Empty Glass Jar – I used a Naturally Fresh Dressing Jar, but any midsize glass jar will do.
- Sparkly Ribbon
- Wine Cork
- Hot Glue Gun
- Scissors
- (OPTIONAL) Paint & Glitter
Directions:
Take your red felt square and cut into a spiral like the picture above. Don’t worry about perfect circle shape. Just do the best you can.
Starting in the middle of the spiral, grab and roll together the spiral into a closed rose shape, making sure to keep everything tightly wound as you go. You may want to hot glue together in certain portions to give your fingers a break.
Once you have the perfect rose shape, hot glue the end of the green pipe cleaner into the back of the felt rose.
Here’s the magic step. For extra wow, I added a bit of red glitter glue to the ends of the rose petals, for some shimmer and shine.
Pretty, right? You can stop right here, but of course I needed to go further…because Belle, Beast, a magic castle.
So taking the free end of the green pipe cleaner, I wound into a circle that just fit inside the rim of the glass jar. Twist to secure. Then you can glue the circle into the lid of the jar. Bend the rose as desired to display inside.
The glass jar needs a pretty decorative circle on top. I used a wine cork that I cut in half (just needed the circular top). I painted the knob in white, added Mod Podge and some glitter to finish. Feel free to leave the cork as is or decorate as desired.
Now to finish off the jar, glue your knob on top of the jar as shown. To cover the green pipe cleaner circle (hey, the magic rose is suspended, right?), I used some gold ribbon glued to the mouth of the rim.
Admire your own little piece of Beauty and the Beast magic, with this Disney inspired Beauty and the Beast rose craft!

What a pretty craft! This will be a perfect activity for kids of all ages. I think it’s fascinating that the Disney company changed the placement of the rose in the story for ‘Beauty and The Beast’. Most people don’t know about the original version which had The Beast kidnap Beauty’s father after he stole a rose from The Beast’s castle grounds.
