    My best DO or DON’T sporting tip for kids is to let them ask you to be part of a sport and when they want to do a sport, to support them in it. If you can’t afford the sport they want, tell them so. That’s an important part of life….realizing what we cannot do and coming up with new things to do that we can afford.

    It’s okay to not be good at a sport. Keep practicing and if you find you don’t like it, let’s move on to another one! There’s a sport or physical activity out there for everyone!

    Best sporting tip is to be safe! Always wear some sort of protection, for football and biking and skateboarding: wear a helmet! Kids heads are hard but still. 😀

    My biggest do is drink plenty of water. I’ve seen what happens when they don’t drink enough during summer sports.

    My Do’s include enjoy yourself but wear protective gear (helmet, gloves, elbow & knee pads) when doing something like biking, skateboarding, etc. And a big one is carry water & snacks with you, keep those kids hydrated & make sure they eat something to keep their energy levels up.

    When my kids play sports, I encourage them to play their best and it’s okay if they don’t win as long as they tried. I think being a good sport is really important.

    The do’s of sports: stay hydrated, give it your all, and be a gracious winner. The don’ts: disrespect the coach or your teammates. Most importantly have fun! 🙂
