It’s the most wonderful time of the year – for snacking! Christmas is my family’s favorite holiday of the year and we make sure to always celebrate those little moments. Yes, even at snack time. I admit that I’m a sucker for any snacks shaped like Christmas trees.

And so to bring some cheer to our holidays, we’re getting ready to serve up some fun with this Easy Cheese Christmas Tree Snack Idea for Kids. Festive and quick to make, this string cheese snack is the perfect way to celebrate the holidays – with your favorite Frigo® Cheese Heads® Snack Cheese. Ready to get snacking?

Need a Kid-Approved Holiday Snack?

When my husband and I were younger (pre-kids, of course), we used to throw large holiday parties – upwards of 50-60 people!

Christmas parties have changed A LOT since we’ve had kids. Now I’m always conscious of making sure that we have enough kid-approved snacks at our holiday get-togethers. Because there should be no tears at Christmastime! It’s important that we have fun little bites just for our littlest guests – because those little holiday moments mean so much.

So what better way to celebrate Christmas than with edible Christmas trees and our favorite snack cheese, Frigo® Cheese Heads®. From Original String Cheese to cheese and meat Snacking Combos, there are always plenty of kid-approved snack options at our holiday parties.

Easy Christmas Tree Snack Idea for Kids with Snack Cheese

How cute are these Christmas trees, especially when they’re standing straight upright like this?!

This festive and delicious kids snack idea is perfect for getting everyone into the holiday spirit – from an after school snack to a holiday party! Think cheese board for kids, but BETTER! And so easy to make. Ready to create this Easy Cheese Christmas Tree Snack Idea?

What You Will Need:

  • Frigo® Cheese Heads® Snacking Combos
  • Frigo® Cheese Heads® Original or Light String Cheese
  • Toothpicks (BONUS if you have stars on top!)

Easy Christmas snack idea

Directions:

  1. Cut meat stick into 3/4 inch – 1 inch thick bites. These will be your Christmas tree bases.
  2. Using the Combo Snacking Cheese and the Original String Cheese, alternate cutting cheese into pieces like the picture above, so you create a small staircase effect.
  3. Stack cheese on top of your meat stick base, so it looks like a festive tree.
  4. Thread your toothpick down the center of the tree, making sure to catch all pieces from the top cheese to the base.
  5. Serve immediately and eat your festive Easy Christmas Tree Snack Cheese Idea for Kids – perfect way to enjoy the holidays!
  6. Refrigerate any leftovers in tightly covered container.

      Normal size for me! You can adjust the height of the “trunk!”
