There’s nothing like the holiday time in Orlando! Universal Orlando Resort works hard every year to bring the BEST Holiday spirit for their guests. This year is NO exception. Now through January 4, 2013, your family can experience Holidays at Universal Orlando Resort. I have 5 must see reasons why Universal Orlando needs to be your next holiday destination!

1. Macy’s Holiday Parade

Only at Universal Orlando Resort can you attend the only Macy’s Holiday Parade in Florida! Perfected with actual balloons from the New York City Parade, this parade will excite and dazzle everyone in the family.

Marching bands, dancers, clowns, your favorite Universal characters (including those silly minions!) and beautifully decorated floats are also in attendance, ending the parade with Santa! My son was in complete awe of the gigantic balloons floating gracefully through the sky.

2. Grinchmas

The whimsical world of Seuss Landing is completely transformed this time of year. Fully decked out with all of the “Who” trimmings, you and your family are invited to experience Grinchmas. Meet The Grinch for a holiday photo and autograph. Join the Grinch Character Breakfast in a reserved special event. Watch The Grinchmas Wholiday Spectacular with live singing from the Who-ville natives.

Definitely make sure you visit at nighttime, when the lights are twinkling!

3. Mannheim Steamroller Live

Included in your admission price is the invitation to see Mannheim Steamroller live in concert! Set up on a beautifully decorated stage, this orchestra’s sound can be heard with crystal clearness as you are swept away with Holiday Songs you know and love. I have been a long time fan of Mannheim Steamroller, and always have them on my playlist during the holidays. What an amazing opportunity to hear them LIVE! Available on select nights through December 22, 2013.

4. Holiday Shows

Universal sure knows how to put on a show! Making the holidays extra special are one-of-a-kind shows put on by your family favorites! Join The Blues Brothers Holiday Show for their rendition on classic holiday songs. Be sure to catch Barney and Friends for A Barney Holiday too.

5. Holiday Décor

What’s the holidays without the festive décor? Universal Orlando does their décor BIG with fantastic lights, trimmings and displays, including a humongous Christmas tree!

They have to put those balloons somewhere! Be sure to check around Universal Studios for the amazing Macy’s parade balloons displays. We couldn’t believe how big they are in person! No wonder it takes so many people to hold and steer. My son loved stopping to see his favorite characters including Horton!
