Healthy Lightsaber Snack Ideas for Kids
May the Snacks Be With Us.
I don’t know about you guys, but we had the hardest time coming out of Winter Break mode and jumping back into School mode. How do I get my son excited to hop back into our daily schedule? Fun snacks, y’all. And right now this kid is all about lightsabers.
Between humming the music on the way to the bus stop and wearing his latest Galactic inspired outfits, Rogue One has officially taken over our household. So to fuel that Imperial March theme song playing in my son’s head, I’ve got a few Healthy Lightsaber Snack Ideas up my sleeves. Check out how Frigo® Cheese Heads® String Cheese is making our on-the-go snack time delicious, easy and full of lightsaber inspired fun!
Lightsabers are all the rage right now; just ask my 8-year old. But getting him to eat healthy snacks? Well, that’s a horse of a different color. It’s hard to make delicious foods like cheese, fruit and veggies exciting to this picky eater. So to make our after-school snack time more fun, I grabbed a little inspiration from his new favorite movie for these delicious and healthy lightsaber snack ideas for kids.
String Cheese Lightsabers
String Cheese Lightsabers, why didn’t I think of these sooner? Creamy, cheesy and easy to grab on the way to our latest sports practice, I love how these portable lightsaber snacks turned out.
Using a blue and black permanent marker, you can draw your lightsaber shape on the back of the outside package of your Frigo® Cheese Heads® String Cheese. Perfect for drawing ahead of time, I can just tell my son to grab his “lightsaber cheese” out of the fridge on the way out the door.
WINNING!
Celery Lightsabers
Join the Rebels with these easy and delicious green lightsabers! Use a celery stalk as the lightsaber. Add a dab of peanut butter to the end of one pretzel stick. Tuck the peanut butter end into the end of the celery stalk.
Raspberry Lightsabers
Feeling a little pull towards the Dark Side? Make sure to take a bite out of these Raspberry lightsabers. Just add fresh red raspberries to a bamboo skewer.
The Force is strong with these snacks. Whether we’re on our way to baseball practice, dance class or Boy Scouts, we have the perfect snacks that fuel my kids through our busiest days – all with a FUN twist that they love!

What fun ways to snack! How about wrapping a pretzel rod (the big sticks) with thinly sliced ham? Or rolling hom slices with cream cheese in the middle?
