Easy Yarn Pumpkin Necklace Craft
I’m a sucker for a good pumpkin craft. Add a few to an adorable toddler craft – and I’m taking a bazillion pictures. So. Flipping. Cute. Only a few crafting supplies are needed for this easy craft idea. I know you’ll want to make one ASAP.
What You Will Need:
- One Large Serving Fork
- Orange Yarn
- Green Embroidery Thread
- Stiff Brown Felt
- Glue
Directions:
Using a large serving fork, wrap your orange yarn around the outside of the prongs – I wrapped about 25 times around. Wrap more or less depending on how “thick” you would like each pumpkin to be.
Carefully take the loops off of the fork. Take a smaller piece of orange yarn and tie around the middle of the yarn loops. (If you don’t have fork prongs in the center of your fork, you can tie first then remove.)
Place the green thread on top of your tie. Double knot the smaller orange yarn around the green thread to hold in place. Cut off excess orange yarn. Fluff your loops to create your desired pumpkin shape. Repeat above steps for each pumpkin you’d like to add to your necklace.
When you have enough pumpkins, cut small rectangles off a piece of stiff brown felt. Glue the stems to the tops of your pumpkins.
You could totally stop here and use as an adorable mini garland for decorating. Super cute. But I have a very fancy toddler, and she loves jewelry.
Tie the two ends of the green thread together to complete your necklace. HOW CUTE! Seriously, this little fall craft inspiration is perfect for your toddler or child.
Whether you string up yarn pumpkins,
or wear them, I hope you and your littles enjoy a little pumpkin crafting fun this fall!
