Cupcake Liner Pineapple Craft
Pineapple crafts, I’m kind of obsessed with them. Not only am I a pineapple (did you miss that explanation?), but they make the cutest summer kids crafts. Seriously. So naturally, another pineapple craft crept its way onto this site. Ok, maybe skipped and somersaulted. Whatever. This Cupcake Liner Pineapple Craft combines the best of kids crafting and a summer handprint keepsake with supplies you already have at home. Artwork at its finest, I dug into the depths of my crafting supplies for this adorable summer boredom buster. Here’s how to make your own:
What You Will Need:
- Yellow Sunflower Cupcake Liners (leftover from my Frozen Fever Party) – I used about 2 per pineapple. Feel free to use more or less.
- Green Tissue Paper
- White Cardstock Paper
- Glue
- Scissors
Directions:
Start by cutting the petals off the cupcake liners. If you don’t have flower petal liners, just shape into equal pieces, making sure to keep the zig zag pattern of the liner intact.
Start at the bottom of the paper. Place glue on the NON zig zag side of the petal. Glue down onto the paper in a rectangular pineapple shape. Alternate colors (if desired), gluing each petal down on the paper, overlapping layers as you move up the pineapple.
Place a few sheets of tissue paper on top of each other. Trace your child’s hand. Cut out the handprint into all of the layers of the paper.
Use glue to adhere the tissue paper hands as the top of the pineapple. Allow to dry.
Hang your adorable craft to share for fun summer memories! Cute, easy and definitely FUN for the summer months, I love how this little piece of artwork adds a bit of happiness to our home for the season.
Don’t forget to make this super cute Button Pineapple Necklace too.
