Spread Cheer with Palm Tree Christmas Cookies
Paying it Forward has really stuck with me this season. Following our surprise dinner, I knew that it was our turn to give back the kindness that was shown to us for the holidays. And what better way to spread cheer than with homemade Palm Tree Christmas Cookies.
Inspired by Florida and made with love, these cookies are the perfect to make with the kids this season to show a little kindness and spread cheer with neighbors, loved ones and friends. So how are we Spreading Cheer this season? Check out these easy steps to #SpreadCheer with your family this season and be sure to scroll down for a festive PayPal giveaway!
1. Bake Cookies, With Love
Cookies + Sprinkles + Kids = The Holidays. One of my favorite Christmas memories is baking cookies with my kids. Covered in flour, handfuls of sprinkles all over the floor, and the sweet smell of home baking in the oven, this is Christmas. And it all begins with the cookies.
Grabbing our Betty Crocker coupon and picking up delicious Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix at Walmart, we were ready to bake some creative Christmas trees, Florida style! Don’t forget the palm tree cookie cutter!
Here’s the recipe:
Palm Tree Christmas Cookies

- 1 package of Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix

Mixed, rolled and cut out, these palm trees made a sweet addition to our Christmas baking tradition.
And the best part, of course was decorating!
With green cookie icing and handfuls of holiday sprinkles, the sweetness was infectious as they added personalized love to each and every cookie.
Aren’t these festive trees, darling? My kids really loved our unique twist on the traditional Christmas sugar cookie, Florida approved!
2. Package Cookies for Special Delivery
Now that your cookies are kid-approved perfection, time to package them up for gifting! Gather your adorable box, bag or plate and arrange your cookies for a special delivery. We took gift boxes and jazzed them up with a little Christmas ribbon. Simple!
3. Add a Personalized Gift Tag
I love adding a personalized touch to our cookie boxes. A gift tag is a great way to send your cookies with a little holiday love. Don’t have time to make your own? Then print out your FREE Cookie Gift Tags! Add a personalized message and tie onto your goodies. YES! Now, we’re ready for the most important step.
4. #SpreadCheer
One of the best feelings in the world is watching the joy on on my son’s face as he delivered the homemade cookies to our neighbors that afternoon. Filled with pride in his work and love for the Christmas season, I know that these cookies not only made a few of our neighbors smile this season, but helped spread a little cheer with my little boy as well. The spirit of giving from the heart really rung home as my 7 year old son told me…
“Mom, this was so much fun. I love giving our neighbors cookies. Can we do it again next year?”
The Christmas spirit has officially kicked-off in our home and in our neighborhood with our Palm Tree Christmas Cookies. Now I nominate your family to #SpreadCheer this holiday season. Grab your Betty Crocker coupon, cookie recipe ideas, free printable gift tags, coloring pages and more at BettyCrocker.com. Let’s pay it forward this month in a sweet and delicious way!
