5 Reasons to Eat at the New Paddlefish at Disney Springs

Remember that good ole Fulton’s Crab House? The historic steamboat restaurant floating on top of the Downtown Disney lagoon was so iconic to the area. At least back in the day. But in case you haven’t noticed, things have changed. With new foodie restaurants popping up everywhere, this timeless boat was taking a backseat to other notable eateries. So we said goodbye to Fulton’s and hello to the all-new Paddlefish at Disney Springs.

Come discover why this updated paddleboat has re-earned it’s primo location – time to pull out the drool-worthy pictures.

Disney Nostalgia with a Modern Appeal

Anyone else feeling nostalgic? There’s something about boarding the historic paddleboat at Disney Springs that feels like “home.” But with changing times comes the need for an update. Insert Paddlefish’s new décor. Modern. Cool. Refreshing. Smooth. These are not words I would have used to associate the old Paddlefish Restaurant.

But I love the new look. Staying true to the Paddleboat theme, this is a boat you’ll actually want to board and have a look around. 3 floors to discover, lounge, sip and stroll – I could get used to this.

Paddlefish rooftop

One of the Best Views at Disney Springs

I admit, there are plenty of moments when the name slips out of my mouth: Downtown Disney. It’s an old habit that dies hard. But the habit doesn’t need to cloud the view. It’s spectacular. Direct rooftop access from the outside, come hang out at the rooftop lounge. 3 floors up, overlooking the water, and this view of Disney Springs – I could stay here all evening.

Best Disney springs views

And you should. Not only can you enjoy one of the best birds-eye views from 3-stories up, but enjoying a few sips from comfy couches during sunset – Disney magic.

Paddlefish outdoor seating

And with outdoor seating around the perimeter of every floor, there’s a great view no matter where you are.

Divine Seafood Offerings

Did I mention the food yet? If the name didn’t give it away, the menu will. Paddlefish offers some of the most delectable seafood at Disney Springs, with so many tasty options for the sea lovers and non-sea lovers alike. During a recent media grand opening, we got to sip and stroll along the 3 levels. With deliciousness around every corner, try not to drool on your computer.

Paddlefish raw bar

Impressive Raw Bar

Oysters, snow crab, ahi poke…take me away. Raw bar aficionados – I’ve found your home.

Paddlefish crab fries

Crab Fries

Crab and fries together. I couldn’t have paired it better, myself. Well, except with more crab fries. Addictive, y’all.

Paddlefish lobster

The Lobster Roll

If you’re looking for lobster, you’ve come to the right boat. The Lobster Roll is chock full of fresh Maine lobster. Also notable is the Lobster Corn Dog with a sweet chili aioli.

Paddlefish non seafood meals

The Burger

Not a seafood fan? There’s still something tasty for you. The Burger is high quality with housemade pickles, topped with pimento cheese and sandwiched between a brioche bun.

Paddlefish dessert

Dessert

By the time I found room to even consume dessert, the sun had long said goodnight. So by the moonlight I found my sweet tooth. Hands down, the Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Tart topped with candied bacon was a personal favorite. Close second was the Charred Carrot Cake.

Unique Cocktails for the Most Distinguished Palette

A bar on every floor. Paddlefish takes cocktail hour very seriously on this ship. And with fresh local flavors and top shelf beverages available, there’s a unique sip to be explored.

Paddlefish drink specials

Not Everyone’s Margarita

Might be your new favorite. Spicy, sassy and fun – this clever twist on a classic drink infuses jalapeno throughout. Definitely for sipping, watch out for that kick.

Paddlefish drink offers

Little Bird

For a lighter ending, be sure to try this pineapple and vodka mix. Sipping on the rooftop is highly recommended.
