Mulan Disneybounding Done Right for Under $50
Now that the Disney Creator Days announcement is out there, I have begun the real work – what the heck am I going to wear for a week of Disney awesomeness? Curating looks for a whole family for “the gram” can be really overwhelming, especially when there’s so much pressure to get the photos just right. So when I started to research Mulan Disneybounding (aka Google) for a Disney Cruise dinner look, I was sorely disappointed. While there were certainly results popping up, I honestly didn’t feel like any of the Mulan Disneybound attempts really did my favorite Disney princess justice.
She kicked butt, saved China and looked amazing at the same time – ya know?
So when I committed to do a Disney Character Couture makeover at Walt Disney World (yes, that post is coming soon), I knew I had to nail the look. HAD TO. It’s time to put this out in the interwebs, folks. Mulan Disneybounding done right – and under budget for less than $50. Add free shipping and BOOM. Let’s get down to business, shall we?

Mulan Disneybounding Look – Under $50
Finding the right blouse was really important for this look to be pulled off. I spent a lot of time researching which blouses would work for a classic Mulan feel. I was in love with this pink blouse and eventually came back to purchase. Designed in China (fitting for the look), I love the delicate details and the beautiful “V” neck design to give the impression of Mulan’s kimono silhouette. The sheer sleeves with cuff detailing was a nice touch too. I think Mulan would have approved.
Size up two sizes, as this is Asian sizing. I normally wear a small blouse size and ended up with an XL because of my broad shoulders, which I think was a little big. I should have gotten a large. There is NO stretch to this one too. Also, make sure you have ample time to purchase this one. You will need a week – 2 week window to come in. Worth it.
A skirt in the right shade was also tough to find. Plus, I needed pockets…because every skirt should come with pockets. For under $20, I think this pleated maroon midi skirt is a steal. Perfect shade, perfect shape for all body types, and pockets for days, it’s a great staple piece to add to my Disney wardrobe. Pretty true to size too. I ordered a medium.
I went back and forth on a belt for awhile. Finding a wide blue belt that fit a skinny red belt – it wasn’t happening. Too bulky or too awkward looking, it just wasn’t meshing together for a classy style. So, nixing the red, I added a perfect lily flower buckle instead. I love how this Mulan inspired belt really cinches your waist while adding just the right flavor to the look. I grabbed a small, and it definitely had enough stretch too.
Extra Mulan Disneybound Touches
While certainly not needed, I loved that I was able to reuse some of my Mulan touches from my Ralph Breaks the Internet red carpet look, including my:
- “Dragon skin” gold heels (true to size)
- Dragon ear cuff (I get so many compliments every time that I wear it – and SO cheap!)
- Mulan purse (also all of the compliments)
- A flower for your hair!
So Google, I hope that at least now there’s one really, really, really good Mulan Disneybounding look out there in the internet world. Because I absolutely loved how classy, delicate and sophisticated this Mulan Disney bounding came together. Perfect for Dapper Days, a Disney Character Couture day or just expressing your personal Disney style, THIS is Mulan Disneybounding done right. Now, can you guys help me find Disney looks for the rest of Disney Creator Days?
What do you think of this Mulan Disneybounding look? Would my favorite Disney Princess approve?
