26 Hurricane Grilling Recipes to the Rescue
There’s a hurricane on the way, just in case you haven’t noticed.
With the possibility of a storm that rivals that of Hurricane Andrew – Florida is the state of “chickens with our heads cut off.” Empty water shelves. Face palm moments. Angry defensive drivers…Wait, that’s everyday. You can imagine the pandemonium in my hometown as Hurricane Matthew creeps closer. And while everyone seems to be focused on safety (as they should be), I’m over here like
“What the heck are we going to EAT?!”
Canned food isn’t going to cut it when the power goes out. So I’ve asked my blogging friends for help. Are hurricanes a-blowing? Then be prepared to keep the family fed with these 26 hurricane grilling recipes to the rescue!
Now let me disclaimer this post. No, I don’t think you should go outside in 80 mph winds and light the grill. No, I don’t think you should bring your grill inside of the house while the hurricane is commencing either.
These recipes come in handy AFTER the hurricane comes through, where power outages for days are highly likely. And with the state of the freezer and fridge looming a slow warming death – you begin to get creative in the cooking department.
There’s only so many days of peanut butter sandwiches and Spaghettios a mom can handle. Cue delicious mouthwatering grilling recipes.
