I was thrilled to host another fun #DisneyKids Playdate and create this Gluten Free Mickey Mouse Trail Mix in partnership with MomSelect and Disney. All FUN opinions are my own
Gluten Free Mickey Mouse Trail Mix | Our #DisneyKids Playdate
Happy April, everyone! It’s getting hot here in Florida, with temperatures in the 90s this week. Can we say Spring?! Taking advantage of the sunshine and friends, it was a great time to head outside for a playdate with our church group!
Grabbing a box goodies in partnership with Walt Disney World and this deliciously inspired Gluten Free Mickey Mouse Trail Mix, I knew that the kids were going to LOVE the fun we had in store for our play group. Check out the snacks, the smiles and the FUN that only Disney can provide at our #DisneyKids Playdate.
It’s actually my third year hosting a Disney themed playdate, but it’s the FIRST year that I did everything by the book. I had a habit of being the rebel blogger and turning my playdates into parties like my Finding Nemo Party and my Mulan Party.
But this year, I really wanted to dig deeper into the creativity of Disney and host a real afternoon to let kids just PLAY. It’s a good thing that our church hosts a playdate every week at parks around Orlando. So packing up my box of goodies and a few surprises of my own, we headed to the playground.
Gluten Free Mickey Mouse Trail Mix
Being a pediatric nurse, I’m really sensitive about kids food allergies. So whenever I host a playdate, I want to be sure that I have snacks that EVERYONE can eat. Taking inspiration from the famous Mickey Mouse, I used his classic colors to provide this healthy trail mix for our day.
- White Plain Popcorn
- Raisins
- Craisins
- Banana Chips
Mix all ingredients together for an energizing snack, perfect for little hands!
I also made sure to have plenty of drinks and other snacks on hand. How cute are these Mickey watermelons? I know….you can’t take the party out of me. I HAD to do something 🙂
Playdate the Disney Way
Then it was time to bust out the goodies. Disney really knows how to spoil kids, complete with a Disney Junior themed playdate.
Princess Sophia, Jake and the Neverland Pirate, and The Lion Guard all came to our playdate, with lots of themed goodies for kids and parents.
The Smiles
There’s a playdate and then there’s a Disney playdate. And when Disney is involved, you know that you are going to get the BEST smiles. Smiles from the parents for a happy and meltdown free afternoon. Smiles from the kids for seeing their favorite Disney Junior characters show up for play time. Overall, it was a win-win for everyone at the park that day.
And BONUS, my girl took an excellent nap that afternoon.

Yay for our #DisneyKids Playdate and a great afternoon focused on imagination, creativity and PLAY!
What do you think makes for a successful playdate?

As long as the kids are enjoying each others company, that’s a successful play-date! 🙂
