Kid-Approved Fourth of July Cheese Platter

Fourth of July has to be one of my family’s favorite holidays. It’s a perfect summer holiday to enjoy a family party – complete with fireworks, fun and lots of delicious food. Recently, my kids have been really into the American flag and everything the stars and stripes represent. So to make the 4th even more fun for the kids this year, we made this delicious Fourth of July cheese platter that everyone in the family can appreciate.
A healthy snack/appetizer option for our family Fourth of July party, it wouldn’t be the same without my kids’ favorite fruits and of course, Frigo® Cheese Heads® String Cheese. Ready to make your own fun Fourth of July inspired cheese platter? Here’s how to make it:
American Flag Fourth of July Cheese Platter
What You Will Need:
- (1/2) Cup Fresh Blueberries
- (5) Strawberries
- (4) String Cheese Sticks, such as Frigo® Cheese Heads® String Cheese!
Directions:
- Arrange blueberries into rectangle shape onto cheeseboard, piling if necessary.
- Cut string cheese into small circle pieces. Arrange into four even horizontal rows.
- Cut strawberries into long strips, red exterior facing out. Arrange into three even horizontal rows, in between the cheese rows.
- Cut extra cheese pieces into smaller pieces OR consider using a very small star cookie cutter to create small star shapes. Arrange stars on top of the blueberries.
Serve immediately. We used these adorable star toothpicks for the kids to pick up delicious red, white and blue bites!
