Directions:

1. Using the green construction paper and pencil, trace your child’s hand – enough to make about 20-25 handprints. Feel free to layer the paper for quicker cutting prep.

3. Now we are going to glue the handprints onto our cone trees. Glue each handprint onto the cone, fingertips downward and on a slight angle. Overlap each handprint to cover the cone completely and give your tree more depth and shape. Allow to dry.

Toddler Clean Up Tips

  1. Avoid overload – You are super mom, but your #1 job isn’t cleaning. Don’t make the huge goal of trying to get the whole house clean in one day with a toddler in tow. You’ll just get overwhelmed. Start with a small goal and the right frame of mind.
  2. Keep it simple – Focus on one task, one room, one job to get done at a time. If you get it done, great! If not, don’t stress. You are a busy multi-tasking mom!
  3. Enlist help – There’s NOTHING that is more fun than a toddler that enjoys clean up! From dusting to picking up toys, I even let my girl help with the hand vacuuming! Anyone else think that the Hoover Air Cordless 2-in-1 hand vacuum is the perfect size for toddlers?! She loves helping mommy vacuum up the daily crumbs!

I love these Christmas trees! What a fun craft! As far as messes goes, pecans, playdough and glitter are the bane of my existence. They always end up all over the floor (and no…we don’t use them all at the same time!)

That is such a cute craft. I love this because you took the whole hand print thing off of paper plates and did something really unique with it.

At first I couldn’t see the hands in the tree, but watching it come together was so cute! The subtlety in the personalization is sweet.
