Crispy Baked Green Beans Recipe

I just LOVE LOVE LOVE crispy green beans. Have you had them before?

Just like fries, these delicious veggies are the perfect pairing for your party or get-together. But they’re usually fried. UGH! So to make a healthier twist on a classic appetizer, I’ve made this amazing Crispy Baked Green Beans Recipe to wow your party guests! Quick, easy and a delicious crispy crunch, I love munching on these green beans during our game day parties! Dairy free and a yum gluten-free option too, these green bean fries are going to be a HIT healthier replacement as we stick to those New Year’s goals! Is your mouth watering yet? Well, here’s how to make this recipe:

A delicious and healthy twist on an appetizer classic, give your green beans that crispy crunch in your oven!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb. fresh green beans washed and ends removed
  • 1 cup of plain panko bread crumbs Gluten-free: substitute 1 cup of corn flakes
  • 1 tsp. onion soup mix
  • 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • cooking spray

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  • On large baking sheet, spray with cooking spray
  • Combine panko, onion soup mix, seasoned salt, garlic powder, black pepper and cayenne in small bowl.
  • Dip green beans in egg
  • Coat in bread crumb mixture
  • Place green beans in single layer on baking sheet
  • Coat with light layer of cooking spray
  • Bake for 10 minutes
  • Turn green beans. Bake another 2-5 minutes or until crispy brown (but not burnt)
  • Serve warm with favorite dipping sauce

    Yum – looks great! How do you get the batter to stay on? When I make recipes like this, the coating always comes right off.

      Amanda, I lightly pack it on right after adding the egg. The egg helps to be the “glue”

    These look so good! It would be a great way to get my daughters to eat green beans, one of the ways I prepare them is with canned cream soup & cheese. I think this way sounds better though! 🙂
