Star Wars Night Light Craft Inspired by Rogue One
You know that you’re a mom when you get excited about tissue boxes. Call me a total mom nerd, but I get super excited when I see the newest box designs from Kleenex. And with Star Wars being a huge craze right now for my kids, you bet that our family is counting down the days until the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
Inspired by the newest Star Wars film (and my mom nerd joy), we created an easy Star Wars Night Light Craft. You are only a few minutes away from creating and sharing your Star Wars love! Light side or Dark side?
Have you seen the new Kleenex brand packs featuring Rogue One designs? Seriously, they are so cool! All 4 sides have scenes inspired by the new film. My kids grabbed the boxes right away and claimed them for the cold and flu season. I’m already planning to stock up on more boxes in time for the December release (you can never have enough Star Wars things around the house). With new Kleenex boxes in hand, we got to crafting one awesome Star Wars Night Light Craft, made in under 5 minutes!
What You Will Need:
- New Kleenex brand boxes featuring Rogue One designs
- Thumbtack
- Electric Tea Light Candle
- OPTIONAL: Red and Green Tissue Paper, Glue/Tape, and Scissors
Directions:
Empty your tissue box. (Cold & flu season is here. We definitely go through a box of tissues quickly!)
Grab your thumbtack and punch holes through the outside of the box. (Be sure to brace the box walls with your other hand to keep the tissue box from collapsing.)
Turn on and place your electric tea light candle inside. Cute, right? This makes a totally fun Star Wars night light craft on its own. But I thought that we could get a little more creative.
So if you’re feeling extra Star Wars crafty, cut your red/green tissue paper to fit inside of the box. Use your green for the Light Side. Red for Dark Side. Attach the tissue paper inside of the box with glue or tape. Let them enjoy the twinkle of starlight, inspired by Star Wars and the new Rogue One: A Star Wars Story movie!
Dark side on one side.
Light side on the other! Which side would your kids choose?
In Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, ordinary people become heroes by doing extraordinary things. We can take a little inspiration from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story to be extraordinary too. Be a hero this season and show how much you care with gestures big and small, like sharing Kleenex tissues with those around you. Follow Kleenex on social media for all of the latest fun kid-friendly tissue boxes, inspiration and more.
Experience Rogue One: A Star Wars Story in theaters this December 16, 2016 and get excited with this Star Wars Night Light Craft!

This is such a great idea! I know lots of friends that LOVE Star Wars. I’ll be sending them here.

This is a cute way to repurpose a tissue box. Kids won’t want to throw it away if it has their favorite character on it.

I love the idea of the tissue paper for the “light” and “dark” side. What a cute and easy craft. I saw the new boxes in the store the other day and was thinking they would be too cute just to toss into recycling.
