Bob’s Red Mill Hot Cereal Review
If you come to our house, you’ll see that we are ALL really big hot cereal fans, especially in the winter. From Oatmeal to Whole Grains, we love a nice warm bowl of cereal in the mornings. And we are currently soaking up the last cold front of the season in Florida, so the timing of this review was perfect! Did you know that Bob’s Red Mill specializes in great whole grain hot cereals? In fact, there’s 50 great Bob’s Red Mills Cereals, and we were so excited to try some!
About Bob’s Red Mill:
To know Bob’s Red Mill is to know Bob Moore, the man who’s face you see on every product. Bob has a passion for providing the country with the best stone-ground whole grains. The old-fashioned stone-milling process allows for the most nutritious parts of the whole grains to be sealed in each product, for quality you can taste. For over 30 years, Bob’s company has stood as a leader in providing Gluten Free whole grains for those with special allergies and sensitivities. Bob’s Red Mill also provides the largest line of organic whole grains in the country!
Made in the USA, every product is made, packaged, tested and distributed right here. Bob stands behind every product, so much so that all of the Bob’s Red Mill products come in clear bags. You can SEE the quality yourself and trust that it tastes just as good! Good ole’ Bob is still around today, with a mission to put people before profit.
The great thing about Bob’s Red Mill Hot Cereals is in the mix. You can SEE the quality grains in every see-through bag. The 8 Grain Hot Cereal mix ended up being our favorite with real bits of stone ground corn, oats, brown rice, soy beans, oat bran, millet, sorghum, sunflower seeds, and flaxseed for a delicious wholesome flavor. We could definitely taste the difference in our cereal. What a great combo! AND, we love that the 8 Grain mix is completely gluten-free for our friends and family with sensitivities.
We also got to taste the creamy Brown Rice Farina (my daughter loved the smooth taste of this one), the Whole Wheat Farina, and the 10-Grain Cereal. Seriously, those plain old oats don’t stand a chance next to these hot cereal powerhouses! And with a warm bowl mixed with a little agave nectar and topped with fresh strawberries, we were in Hot Cereal Heaven! Bob’s Red Mill takes the time and care with their stone-milled whole grains. And we definitely appreciated every bite.
We were so excited about the gluten-free 8 Grain blend, that we made a delicious Crockpot Apple Cinnamon Hot Cereal with it. Smooth, creamy and naturally sweetened, this recipe was a hands-down crowd pleaser for all family members!
