My Grilled Peach Secret | Florida Peaches
Once a Florida girl, always a Florida girl.
Florida definitely has the keys to my heart. Not only do I love the beaches and theme parks, but the food too. You can’t beat that fresh Florida produce! And did you know that Florida actually grows peaches too? A sweet little season between the end of March through May, now this is the sweetest time to stock up on this Florida favorite.
These Florida tree-ripened peaches are the perfect size for school lunches or afternoon snacks! It’s a great grab-and-go treat for my kids. And with some of the sweetest flavors of spring, it’s also my secret to the best Grilled Peach Caprese Salad.

Grilled Peach Caprese Salad with Key Lime Vinaigrette
What’s amazing about this salad is not only the mixture of bright Florida inspired flavors, but how this fresh dish oscillates between sweet and salty. A salad for even the “non-salad” lover (ahem, me), this dish has me drooling for all of the right reasons.
Ready to make this tasty inspired summer salad?
Ingredients:
Key Lime Vinaigrette:
- Juice from 4-5 Florida Key Limes (about 1/4 cup)
- 1 Fresh Clove of Garlic
- 1/2 Cup of Olive Oil
- 2 TBSP Honey
- Pinch of Dry Mustard
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
Grilled Peach Caprese Salad:
- Fresh Peaches (go for Florida, y’all!)
- Olive Oil
- Fresh Basil Leaves
- Fresh Mozzarella Cheese (soft, packaged in liquid)
- OPTIONAL: Rotisserie Chicken and/or Prosciutto
- Balsamic Vinegar
Directions:
- Let’s start with the key lime vinaigrette, so it will have extra time to mix those delightful flavors. Combine all vinaigrette ingredients in a sealed container. Shake and refrigerate until ready for use.
- Time to fire up the grill! Preheat to medium heat.
- Cut your peaches into thick 1/2-3/4 inch thick slices. Brush with olive oil. Grill with cut side down, about 4-5 minutes until grill marks appear. Flip and grill the other side until tender, about 4-5 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Wash and dry basil leaves. Slice mozzarella cheese into 1/2-3/4 inch slices.
- Alternate layering grilled peach slices, basil leaf, and mozzarella slices onto dish. Drizzle with Balsamic vinegar and key lime vinaigrette.
- Serve immediately. Refrigerate any leftovers.
