Ombre Paint Chip Pumpkin Pie Craft & 72 More Fall Kids Crafts

Today is the Thursday-est Thursday. Those that know me well understand that Thursday and I don’t get along.

Monday – It’s the start of the week. I feel motivated and energized.

Tuesday & Wednesday – I’m plugging along, feeling accomplished, getting work done. In the zone!

Friday – It’s the last day of the work week. I put my head down and focus on the weekend ahead.

But Thursday…oh, Thursday. I’m somewhere between going stir crazy to pulling out my hair status. By Thursday I’m itching to get out of the house, far away from my computer and anything to do with blogging…much to my toddler’s delight. Today we ended up at Home Depot and the craft store – to where this Ombre Paint Chip Pumpkin Pie Craft came to be. BINGO.

Good-bye Thursday-est Thursday. Taking my frown and turning it into something crafty, that’s where I thrive. So my toddler and I made this adorable Pumpkin Pie kids craft to celebrate fall, Thanksgiving and everything deliciously pumpkin good. So in case you’re having the case of the Thursdays, come craft with us.

Ombre Paint Chip Pumpkin Pie Craft

Ombre is a very big thing in the crafting world as of late. So I was feeling rather “modern” while crafting today with my child.

What You Will Need

  • Multi-Colored Orange Paint Chips (anyone else LOVE free crafting supplies? Thanks, Home Depot!)
  • Burlap
  • White Cotton Balls or Pom Poms
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • OPTIONAL: Jute twine and hole puncher

Easy pumpkin pie kids craft

Directions

Using your scissors, cut your paint chips into pie slices. Use only one paint chip per slice.

Taking the larger triangle end, cut and glue some burlap for your pie crust. Allow to dry. Cut off excess as desired.

Glue your whipped cream (i.e. your cotton ball) to your paint chip pumpkin pie. Allow to dry.

Easy pumpkin pie banner

Pretty darn cute on their own, right? Well, in case you are a sucker for banner crafts like I am, you can take this craft a step further. Punch holes at the tops of your pumpkin pie slices and slide in some twine to hang up your adorable craft all fall season long. So. Much. Cuteness!
