The Happiest Baby Guide to Great Sleep Review

From the best selling author and pediatrician Dr. Harvey Karp comes a new book in the Happiest Baby series, The Happiest Baby Guide to Great Sleep Book. Yes, this is the same guy that gave us the Happiest Baby 5 S’s to cure colic and the Happiest Toddler to end toddler tantrums in seconds!

Dr. Karp is back with a MUST HAVE book for every sleep deprived parent! “How do I get my child to sleep” is one of the biggest questions parents have. And now we have a book with answers! This child instructional guide is written with every exhausted parent in mind. He has easy and proven ways to get children to sleep faster, better and longer as young as birth to age 5. Using research, years of experience, a little common sense and even humor, Dr. Karp provides an easy read with simple solutions for all children sleep problems!

You’ll learn:

  • How to train brand new babies to sleep better
  • What’s the best white noise (and which ones worsen sleep) and why white noise is important
  • Why parents should always wake a sleeping baby
  • How to enjoy the benefits – and avoid the risks – of swaddling
  • The importance of powering down: Staring at bright screens at night (TVs, computers, phones) can wreak a toddler and a parent’s sleep.
  • Easy “no-cry” tips that end infant and toddler bedtime struggles in just days!

As a parent with a 2 month old and 4 year old, I definitely appreciated reading The Happiest Baby Guide to Great Sleep! I felt like he was speaking right to ME without judgement or skepticism. This book is jam packed with lots of good tidbits that even a seasoned parent like me benefited from! I loved the way the materials are presented. Each chapter begins with a highlight of key points that will be touched upon. Each chapter ends with a summary/review of what was discussed. (YES! Every sleep deprived parent can easily flip through and quickly find information.)

There are chapters filled with modern science and proven research. There’s chapters filled with Q and A from parents just like me! There’s also lots of scenarios that you may relate to and learn from. There’s step by step instructions and easy tweaks. I had many “Ah-ha!” moments as a bit of common sense or solutions I was already applying was reinforced or when new simple solutions were introduced. But the main point that really struck home is that Dr. Karp writes The Happiest Baby Guide to Great Sleep as your biggest cheerleader. He truly believes that EVERY parent CAN achieve better sleep not only for their child, but for themselves.

The Happiest Baby Guide to Great Sleep is a child instruction manual that EVERY parent should read! I highly recommend this book for all my mommy readers! Available at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Books-A-Million.

I heard great things about this book! My 3 month old baby loves to wake up almost every two hours each night. I got to get my hands on this! Thanks for the review!
