Simple Thanksgiving Tablescape Ideas on a Budget

Delicious menu, CHECK!

Clean house, CHECK!

Set the table, uh-oh!

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and if you’re like me, you’ve been busy planning for delicious memories to share with your loved ones. But with all of the concentration on the Thanksgiving food, it’s easy to forget about the table where everyone is going to gather. You want to make it beautiful for your guests, but don’t want to spend a lot of money. Where to begin? Check out these simple Thanksgiving tablescape ideas on a budget to take the stress out of the decorating for the big day.

Unique Thanksgiving table decor

Use Existing Pieces in New Ways

Creating a beautiful Thanksgiving table doesn’t have to be grand and costly. Just take a look around your home. This candelabra made a perfect centerpiece for my table after a little bit of dusting. I made a table runner with burlap ribbon I had in my craft stash! Cost so far for our table = $0!

Take Inspiration from Nature

Aren’t the colors of fall amazing? Beautiful pumpkins, gourds, lentils, and maize provide the perfect colorful touch to a table…and inexpensively! Consider picking up a few pops of fall color for your tablescape. I LOVED how these green and white lentils provided the perfect layers for this mason jar candle holder!

Borrow What You Don’t Have

Not everyone will be hosting a Thanksgiving feast at their house this year. Call up a friend or family member and see what you can borrow to fill in the gaps. I was so fortunate that my friend had some fancy chargers for my dinner plates! It really gave my dinner table a grand look.

Thanksgiving food ideas

Make Food the Star

Most importantly, do not stress about making your table the most beautiful of all tables. Your guests are there to enjoy great company and great food together. Make your food the star of the gathering because happy memories lie in happy tummies.

To answer your question, I’m with you using natural touches like the squash and lentil candle jar. I love colorful fall leaves, mini pumpkins and an earthy table.

I love the idea of the jar with beans on it 🙂 Now I’m thinking of buying a mason jar in the grocery and put some beans on it. 🙂

Thanks so much for the wonderful ideas for your holiday feast on a budget! Believe you me, I’m definitely on a budget! I used an old cornucopia which I’ve had for years and years. I put that on the table and added some of the picks that I had with fall leaves and berries & a couple tiny pumpkins that we had from Halloween! It really looked nice! Your ideas are terrific as well! Your table really looked elegant! Thanks so much for sharing your ideas with all of us! I honestly do appreciate it! Thanks again! Michele 🙂
