6 Reasons to Visit LEGOLAND Florida Water Park

Summer in Florida brings one thing to everyone’s minds. Theme Parks. Being around the theme park capital of the world does have it’s benefits! Well, we just headed to LEGOLAND Florida to experience their water park for the very first time as a family and checked out all of the cool fun we could handle with a special flair. LEGO flair that is!

Check out 6 Reasons why you need to visit the LEGOLAND Florida Water Park!

1. A One-of-a-Kind Lazy River Experience

Think you’re headed for the same ‘ole Lazy River? Not at the Build-a-Raft River! Your relaxing drift down the river just got more exciting with your very own LEGOs to attach to your float. Make your own unique raft creation with floating LEGO bricks, all while enjoying fountains and of course, LEGO scenery.

2. A GIGANTIC Wave Pool, Complete with Island 🙂

What’s a water park without waves? This huge LEGO Wave Pool has it’s own added flair, with this adorable LEGO island. Need a break from the waves? There’s a special LEGO water exploration area next to the Wave Pool for the kids to

3. A Perfect Wading Pool for Little Ones

I am a BIG BIG BIG fan of the LEGOLAND Water Park DUPLO Splash Safari. Perfect for babies and toddlers, this area is a wonderful playground with 2 slides that they can “grow” into, and adorable DUPLO animals with working water spouts. The water is nice and toasty too! Recommended for ages 0-5 years.

4. A Home for Even the Most Active Child

This was the area my son never wanted to leave. Bounding with energy all day long, the Joker Soaker kept my little guy occupied!

There’s 7 slides, endless amounts of fountains, sprayers, and dump buckets, including 300 gallon bucket that drops every few minutes! The only problem I had was getting my boy to leave this water playground. Lower Slides are for those 36+ inches tall. Upper Slides are for 42+ inches.

5. Thrills for Even the Bravest Souls

Looking for speed? The LEGOLAND Florida Water Park has your kind of water rides! Splash Out is perfect for your thrill seeker, with 3 different ways to drop 60 feet! A double rider Twin Chasers ride awaits you and your friend! Ride down 375 feet of winding tubes and plunge into the pool below. Must be 48 inches+ tall to ride. (Maybe next year for our little guy!)

6. Because it’s hot in Florida during the summer!

We’re basking in 90+ degree heat here in the Sunshine State. And while visiting the LEGOLAND Florida Theme Park is great, it’s such a nice option to be able to cool down in-between rides!

First Time Tips

We had a splashing good time checking out the LEGOLAND Florida Water Park. A few FYI’s for first timers (like me) visiting:

  • Yes, this water park is actually INSIDE LEGOLAND Florida. This means you will need a LEGOLAND Florida ticket to access. There’s no outside gate.
  • There is a gate at the entrance of the water park, where they will verify that your ticket has water park access. You must add-on the water park ticket to your LEGOLAND Florida ticket in order to get in the water park area.
  • If you want to take advantage of all that both parks have to offer, come early. There’s really THAT much to see and do.
  • There’s lockers, showers, changing areas and an eatery all inside the water park.
  • All floats and life jackets are included. No need to pay extra.

This looks so fun – I wanna go! We only have a LEGOLAND Discovery Center here in IL, no fancy water park or theme park. 🙁

That looks like so much fun. Our home in florida is just a short drive from Legoland, but we havent visited the waterpark portion because it was a little chilly on our last visit.
