Make the most of your stay at the newest LEGOLAND Florida hotel with these Top 8 LEGOLAND Beach Retreat Tips for the Best Family Vacation. This post is sponsored by LEGOLAND Florida. All brick-tastic opinions are my own Legoland beach retreat tips

LEGOLAND Beach Retreat Tips for the Best Family Vacation

There’s a new kid on the block at LEGOLAND Florida.

The all-new LEGOLAND Beach Retreat is now open. The second hotel for LEGOLAND guests, this cozy LEGO themed resort offers guests 83 cozy bungalows with a total of 166 rooms for families. Want to make the most of your stay? Check out these Top 8 LEGOLAND Beach Retreat Tips for the Best Family Vacation EVER!

Legoland beach retreat check in

Check-in from Your Car

Start your vacation off on the right foot…or at least without ever setting a foot in a hotel lobby. LEGOLAND Beach Retreat offers drive-thru check-in, a convenient way for families to get to their rooms quicker. Do make sure to have information ready (check-in dates, drivers license, credit card, etc.) to help speed up the process.

Get to Know Your Beach Bungalow

When LEGOLAND embraces a theme, they go all-out. These cozy beach bungalows have to be the cutest bungalows I’ve ever seen. Each bungalow houses 2 rooms with semi-private porches (table and 4 chairs), each room holding up to 5 guests. Check out my video room tour to get a feel of the inside. But here are my favorite parts:

Legoland beach retreat review for families

  • Full LEGO beach theme – murals, LEGO décor and DUPLO block set for kids to play with
  • King bed in main room
  • Kids themed room – 2 bunk beds and trundle bed underneath to sleep a total of 3 kids, privacy curtain divider to main room
  • Cozy amenities – refrigerator, flat-screen TV, safe, 2 closets, plenty of drawer space
  • Great family shower – showerhead release as well as height raise/lower option
  • Mini-toilet seat cover for smaller kids
  • Wi-Fi and USB plugs

Wish list: A kids’ stool. I think a LEGO stool would be a great addition to the room, especially for reaching places like the bathroom sink. I also wish there was a clothesline in the bathroom to dry bathing suits.

Make Time for Pool Time

In Florida, there’s always time for some much needed pool time. The LEGOLAND Beach Retreat offers guests an amazing poolside area, complete with a zero entry swimming pool. Your kids will love playing among the floating LEGO bricks just like the LEGOLAND water park!). There’s also a nice playground inside the gated area, a poolside bar, beach sand and family games like corn hole to take advantage of as well. The pool is heated too, perfect for chillier nights.

Eat in Style, LEGO Style

The beach theme continues in Sandy’s Castle Restaurant. This 300-seat restaurant offers guests a full breakfast buffet that’s included with your stay. Kids can also get some hands-on fun with the huge LEGO sand castle that they can build right onto.

Stock Up on Essentials, Right Around the Corner

Staying awhile? Not only is the new LEGOLAND Beach Retreat close to LEGOLAND Florida and the LEGOLAND Florida Water Park, but also within walking distance to a shopping center. Grab your groceries and essentials at the local Publix store.

Legoland beach retreat shuttle

Take Advantage of the FREE Shuttle to LEGOLAND Florida

While you certainly could walk to LEGOLAND Florida theme park (about 0.8 miles), your stay includes a convenient shuttle to the gate, for free. Hop on board for your quick trip to LEGOLAND Florida, great after a long day at the park!

Legoland beach retreat lighthouse

See the Lighthouse

The crown jewel of the LEGOLAND Beach Retreat is the lighthouse standing 45 feet tall on top of the main building. A fun icon for the hotel, make sure to check out the lighthouse all lit up at night. Be sure to also make time for a few pictures around the grounds – there are a few fun photo ops with themed LEGO builds and characters.

I have heard such good things about this place. I have never seen the bungalows though – very nice and so cute! It looks so fun, and Legos are timeless!

My 7 year old enjoyed it but I was unimpressed. Parks closed at 5pm. Very small rooms. Housekeeping only every other day. If you decide to come make it a short stay.

With the beach resort do they offer the same activities for the kids as the hotel does? Do you also get the 30 minute early entry to the park with this resort?

They do offer activities, but not exactly the same as the hotel. You do get earlier access too

We are looking at booking here. I was wondering if you think any of the bungalow locations are better than others?

They’re all basically the same. Location would be dependent on whether you want to be closer to the pool, shuttle, playground, lake view.
