5 Kitchen Sink Cleaning Tips with SOS Non-Scratch Scrubbers
It’s March! Are you ready for Spring Cleaning?
Today we’re talking about everything AND the kitchen sink as we tackle one of the most used areas in your home. Your kitchen sink sees everything from your kids outdoor activities to your daily meal times. So how do you keep your kitchen sink clean? Check out my top 5 tips and tricks to get your Kitchen Sink sparkling this Spring!
Zap Your Sponge
Get in the habit of microwaving your sponge on high for 1 minute every night. Trust me, you don’t want that bacteria sitting there, just to wash your dishes with it, yuck! Zapping the sponge also helps to keep your sponge longer and odor-free!
Disinfect Your Faucet
Hands are constantly touching the faucet. When cleaning your sink, don’t forget to also wipe down all faucet pieces, including the handles! Make sure to use a STRONG disinfectant, as I’m sure your hands haven’t always been the cleanest when reaching for the sink.
Clean Your Disposal
When was the last time you gave your disposal some love? Make sure to give a good cleaning to your disposal too. Use a combo of ice cubes, salt, citrus peels and eggshells to clean, deodorize and sharpen your blades!
Scrub Those Neglected Dishes
Confession, I don’t spend near as much time as I should scrubbing my dishes. I know, it’s terrible. So when Spring cleaning time comes around, I make sure to give my beloved hard working dishes, like my pots and pans, a deep down scrub.
Scrubbing is now faster and safer with the all-new S.O.S. Non-Scratch Scrubbers! These little miracle pads make it easy to cut through tough leftover food and grease while keeping my dishes and hand safe from scratches.
Here’s why new S.O.S. Non-Scratch Scrubbers are the perfect Spring Cleaning products for your kitchen sink:
- Made from abrasive polypropylene fibers instead of the steel wool found in traditional S.O.S pads
- Soft on hands with the convenience of S.O.S soap built right in, the same soap that S.O.S. consumers have trusted for almost 100 years
- Easy to use – just wet the pad and scrub!
- Reusable – get the most out of your scrubber and use again and again!
- Safer for the environment – made from PET, 100% recycled material, biodegradable soaps and detergents, and contains no phosphorus
- Available in convenient 4-count and 8-count packs
With one pad I can quickly clean my whole stack of pots and pans with ease, even cleaning off months worth of old stains!
Sanitize the Sink
Ok, so gross. Did you know that your kitchen sink is more commonly dirtier than your toilet? Most folks don’t think about the importance of sanitizing the sink. But do you remember what you put in it? Just last night? Raw meat, dirty veggie residue, even rotting food from the fridge. So make sure that you sanitize, and I mean REALLY sanitize your sink! It doesn’t take fancy products, but a few home items to get your sink sparkly clean and kill harmful bacteria.
Start with soap and water. Give it a good scrub. Spray with vinegar, making sure to coat all surfaces. Mist with a separate spray of hydrogen peroxide. Allow to fully air dry. VOILA! Sanitized and happy sink!
