Trying the Grey Stuff & Interviewing Emma Watson at #BeOurGuestEvent
After ending 2016 with this viral post, I honestly was feeling a little lost. I wasn’t sure what would happen to the blog, let alone if I was going to continue this endeavor. I was still in the middle of soul searching when I received an email – Disney was calling. But this was unlike any other call – it’s for my favorite Disney movie of all time. The “once upon a time” that would shape all of my other fairy tale memories, Beauty and the Beast is more than a classic, it’s a tale as old as time.
“Do not be deceived by appearances, for beauty lies within.”
I draw from Belle – her intelligence, courage, strength, true inner beauty, passion – all qualities that I pull from as a business woman and blogger. She embodies the modern day Disney princess, one that I encourage my daughter to emulate. As I read on, I knew that I needed to be there. I’m heading to L.A. 3/4 – 3/7 for Disney’s Live Action Beauty and the Beast and the #BeOurGuestEvent – And I cannot begin to describe the excitement that is jam packed into 4 days.
Interviewing Emma Watson. I die.
See the full interview lineup for the most anticipated live action film of the year (including one of my ultimate bucket list Disney interviewees!) plus our amazing itinerary. I hope that you’ll follow along!
Beauty and the Beast
I never in my wildest dreams would have thought I would breathe the same air as these talented people, let alone talk to them. Interviewing Emma Watson – THE Emma Watson…WHAT?! So who’s made the #BeOurGuestEvent interview list?
- Emma Watson “Belle”
- Dan Stevens “Beast”
- Luke Evans “Gaston”
- Josh Gad “LeFou”
- Audra McDonald “Garderobe”
- Gugu Mbatha-Raw “Plumette”
- Director Bill Condon
- Musical Genius Alan Menken
Can I just squeal in delight over my bucket list interview with Alan Menken? This is the genius that has brought us so many of our classic sing along Disney songs from movies like The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Tangled, Hercules – oh and a little film called Beauty and the Beast.
I could gush all day, but Beauty and the Beast is not the only amazing event on the schedule.
Born in China
We will be screening the newest Disneynature film, “Born in China” that will debuting this Earth Day, April 21, 2017.
My family just LOVES these films!
Moana on Blu-Ray
“Moana” will be released on Blu-Ray while we are on this trip, available on March 7th! It’s only fitting that we celebrate the must-have Disney film with a special Polynesian-themed dinner and Q&A with Director Ron Clements and Producer Osnat Shurer.
Tangled Before Ever After & Tangled the Series
Anyone else as HUGE Tangled fan? We will be screening the Disney Channel movie, “Tangled Before Ever After,” premiering March 10th at 8 pm/7 pm central in anticipation of the new series “Tangled: The Series” premiering on March 24th. We will have a special Q&A session with Executive Producer Chris Sonnenburg and Supervising Producer Ben Balistreri and learn more about what happens “between the kisses” as Rapunzel (played by Mandy Moore) acquaints herself with the kingdom of Corona.
Andi Mack
I am slightly BEYOND excited that we get to preview the newest Disney Channel show, Andi Mack, coming this Spring 2017. “Andi Mack” is a contemporary, coming-of-age story about a relatable multicultural girl who’s trying to determine where she fits in — and the many amazing ways she can live her life.We will have a special Q&A and photos with Peyton Elizabeth Lee (“Andi Mack”), Lilian Bowden (“Bex”), Lauren Tom (“Cecilia”), Creator/Executive Producer Terri Minsky and Executive Producer Michelle Manning.
Milo Murphy’s Law
And Phineas and Ferb fans are going to love our next screening! We will preview a few new episodes of the Disney XD show, “Milo Murphy’s Law” (debuting March 6th). Then we will meet Creators and Executive Producers Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh (of the Emmy Award-winning animated series “Phineas and Ferb”). Should be a really entertaining Q&A!
Baby Daddy
We’re also attending a baby shower! Freeform’s “Baby Daddy” returns for a sixth season on Monday March 13th at 8:30/7:30 central. We will celebrate the pregnancy of Danny and Riley, who found out in the season five finale that they were expecting with Q&A and photos with Chelsea Kane (“Riley Perrin”), Derek Theler (“Danny Wheeler”) and Tahj Mowry (“Tucker Dobbs”).
The Catch
“The Catch” will return for Season 2 on Thursday, March 9th at 10/9 central as part of ABC’s exciting #TGIT line-up. We will be getting a sneak peek of an episode plus a special interview with the cast!
Imaginary Mary
We will get an exclusive sneak preview of the series premiere and second episode of ABC’s newest comedy “Imaginary Mary.” This special screening will be followed by a Q&A with Jenna Elman, her co-star Stephen Schneider, and Executive Producers David Guarascio and Patrick Osborne.
