FINALLY! Real Bra Sizing with Aerie #AerieReal
I’ve been putting it off…and putting it off.
Bra shopping.
Please join me in the immediate ceremonial GROAN that follows that statement. It is one of my least favorite shopping tasks, and I have been procrastinating.
Don’t get me wrong, I was waaaaay overdue for some new bras. Like pre-second child pregnancy, overdue. But giving up breastfeeding of my last child had me “less than satisfied” with the results. It’s a cruel reality really. Breastfeeding goes away…and so do the “benefits.” And let’s face it. I have 2 kids. I wasn’t eager to drag them with me into a bra store. I’d be asking for a TV comedy episode!
I’m a visual person. Shopping online for bras has not convinced me to buy. Seeing the models with 32 DD chests leaves me intimated and confused. How would I know what that bra looks like on me? Wouldn’t it be awesome to do your REAL bra shopping at home? Bra shopping with pictures of REAL women, wearing your exact bra size? FINALLY! Aerie has a new bra guide ironically named “Our Most Amazing Bra Guide Ever.” I can totally see why.
There’s no more guesswork. No more detective work. I can see what that bra would look like on someone like me!
How does it work?
- Head to Aerie.com and choose the Bra Guide
- Click “Find Your Size” and enter in your bra size.
- Aerie immediately filters their available bras in that size, with pictures of models IN your size bra
From strapless to push up, layering and lined, there’s tons of great options. By using Aerie’s new Bra Guide, I could see exactly what those bras look like on someone like me. Within minutes, bra shopping was done. Painlessly, easily, and without the GROAN. And for a limited time, you can get FREE shipping and FREE returns on all bras. You’re guaranteed a perfect fit!
I chose the Emma and the Maddie, and these bras could NOT have come at a better time. While I sure miss those breastfeeding days, I can celebrate a new chapter in my life with these beautiful new bras from Aerie.com.

That is awesome! I love forward thinking like this. Why doesn’t every site offer this?
Kiwi says
I guess the biggest obstacle when it comes to bra shopping is that sometimes Bra sizes are like jeans. You will think you are a certain size, but every make is doesnt go by the same measuring scale. So I dont have much up top so I dont want to struggle with a baggy bra! Thanks for the review I need ro check them out!
Cassie @ Southeast by Midwest says
I really need to find my “real” bra size and not what I think it is. Then I think shopping at this site would be great 🙂
Carly Bellard says
I hate bra shopping! I always bring 30 bras into the dressing room and still leave empty handed!
Virginia @thatbaldchick says
My biggest trouble with bra shopping is that none of the ones in my size are very pretty.
Kay Adeola says
I just hate bra shopping full stop lol.I think its because i also hate trying things on in the stores. But this site looks great.
Clancy Cash Harrison MS, RD, LDN says
I always have an issue with finding my size in stores. I always have to buy online and even then I get the wrong size. I definately need help in this department.
Liz Mays says
They don’t seem to make a lot of bras in my size, so it’s really hard for me to find them. When I do, I buy a bunch!
Meagan says
Okay, these are wonderful tips! I always struggle knowing if my bra is fitting me the way that it’s supposed to!
Krystyn @ Really, Are You Serious? says
I have a hard time knowing my size, I’ve been pregnant or nursing for a long time! But, I do go get measured so I buy correctly!
Jaime says
I’ve been measured (pre-baby) and was measured post-baby (during my nursing days.) I hate the buying process, especially after the nursing days are over because everything is still trying to adjust back to “normal.” I nursed my son for 2 years. That’s a long time with ill-fitting nursing bras. :-/
Lindsey @ Redhead Baby Mama says
I LOVE that they have models for sizing and see what they look like. I know some tshirt companies do that and it’s fabulous!
Shell says
This sounds so helpful! It took until just a few years ago for me to finally be fit properly for a bra and that made all the difference for me.

Bra shopping can be so frustrating. This sounds great!
Debbie Denny says
That sounds like a great way to get the right size. I hate bra hunting also.

I love bra shopping at aerie, but sadly the store near me closed down. I was so sad about it. It’s crazy how many women are walking around in the wrong bra size.
Amanda says
This is awesome! The last time I went bra shopping I HAD to take my kids with me. It was AWFUL!
Veronica says
I have a love hate relationship with bras. I can never find one comfortable enough. I will definitely look into aerie
Candace Hagerty says
I have the worst time getting bras that fit, this is so needed!
