CVS Extra Care Bucks | The 98% Rule
Did someone say show me the money? I love the perks of shopping at CVS, especially when it comes to their Extra Care Bucks policy. But, I also know how frustrating it can be to hit that certain Dollar limit to grab your Extra Care Bucks savings at CVS! Did you know that CVS has the 98% Rule? That means when you’re “close” to the spending limit, you are still eligible get your BUCKS! (Watch CVS change the rule now that I’m posting about it!) So how does it work?
The general CVS Extra Care Bucks 98% Rule:
For $30 limit, you need to spend $29.40
For $20 limit, you need to spend $19.60
For $10 limit, you need to spend $9.80
For $5 limit, you need to spend $4.90
The 98% rule explanation works better in an example:
Let’s say there’s a $10 CVS Extra Care Bucks deal when you buy $30 in select P&G products in the store.
So you go to the store and buy…
(5) Tide Laundry Detergents at $5.94 each
=
$29.70
You still will get the $10 ECB since you met the 98% Rule!
So when you see future “close” in price scenarios for CVS, know that you will still get your extra care bucks!
*Please Note ~ This is for CVS stores only, not for Walgreens.
Did the CVS 98% Rule work for you? Tell me about your CVS experiences in the comments.

has this rule changed? or is there a link I can find on line to bring in store with me?

This is a general guideline. Not all stores follow this. There’s nothing on the CVS website about it either. Unfortunately you cannot find out if your store is participating unless you try it
