When the Teen Titans go to the big screen, they go big! “Teen Titans GO! to the Movies” finds our egocentric, wildly satirical Super Heroes in their first feature film extravaganza — a fresh, gleefully clever, kid – appropriately crass and tongue-in-cheek play on the superhero genre, complete with musical numbers.

With a few madcap ideas and a song in their heart, the Teen Titans head to Tinsel Town, certain to pull off their dream. But when the group is radically misdirected by a seriously Super-Villain and his maniacal plan to take over the Earth, things really go awry. The team finds their friendship and their fighting spirit failing, putting the very fate of the Teen Titans themselves on the line!

The first-ever big-screen version of DC Entertainment and Cartoon Network’s animated TV show stars Greg Cipes (TV’s “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”) as Beast Boy, Scott Menville (TV’s “Spider-Man”) as Robin, Khary Payton (“The Walking Dead”) as Cyborg, Tara Strong (the “My Little Pony” franchise) as Raven, and Hynden Walch (TV’s “Adventure Time with Finn & Jake”) as Starfire, reprising their roles from the series. Will Arnett (“The LEGO® Batman Movie”) and Kristen Bell (“Frozen”) also lend their voices and, in guest roles, Superman super fan and Oscar winner Nicolas Cage (“Leaving Las Vegas”) portrays the Man of Steel; singer songwriter Halsey lends her voice to Wonder Woman; and rapper-singer Lil’ Yachty plays Green Lantern.

An Asian Multicultural Kids Book That My Whasians Need

There’s power when kids see heroes that look like them between the pages of their books. It’s something that stuck with me growing up. And I know that it’s something that will stick with them too. More than just a story, Drawn Together combines the best of storytelling, brilliant visual graphics (from comic book scenes to full spreads of colorful artwork), family love, and a modern approach to diversity, acceptance, and breaking through multicultural barriers.

Celebrating the bond between grandparents and grandchildren, communicating beyond words and family love that is so much deeper than anything – I love how Author Minh Lê and Caldecott-winning illustrator Dan Santat created such a beautiful story. And even with this picture book being recommended for ages 3-5 years, my 9-year old son really got into reading this one as well – with all of the super hero action, comic book styling and lots of visual interest.

Disney Books has done it again. Drawn Together is the multicultural kids book that this generation of children need. And I am so proud that my Whasian children can see themselves, their world and a beautiful Asian culture between the pages. I hope this book is one that will continue to inspire my kids as we pass down this Asian multicultural book down through the generations.

DIY Back Scratcher Dinosaur Craft

I couldn’t resist the itch (see what I did there) to make a fun little craft to go along with this adorable new book. This DIY Back Scratcher Dinosaur Craft is the perfect activity to pair with The Itchy Book! Read together then craft together, WINNING! So easy and fun too.

What you will need:

Wood paint stirrer (Hello, FREE craft supply!)
2-5 Wood clothespins
Favorite dinosaur colored paint
2-5 Bobby pins
Glue
Optional: favorite dinosaur inspired “accessories” like pom poms, glitter, etc.

Directions:

Paint the stir stick and clothespins in your child’s favorite dinosaur color. Allow to dry. If desired, let them glue on dinosaur accessories (like pom poms, glitter, construction paper) to bring out their dino’s personality.
Bend bobby pins at one end to curl like a dinosaur claw. Place claw inside of clothespin and glue in place.
On one end of the paint stick, arrange and attach your clothespins at the non-opening ends (3-5 dependent on how many claws your child would like). Glue in place.
If desired, embellish your DIY Back Scratcher with crafty accessories.
DONE! Allow your child scratch all of their itches with their own dino themed DIY back scratcher, perfect for reading along with The Itchy Book!

Good Day, Good Night, from the author of Goodnight Moon

Goodnight Moon was a pivotal book from my childhood, one that I remember reading with my parents and one that I now cherish as a parent. Those illustrations from illustrator Clement Hurd? Classics! And now 70 years later, Margaret Wise Brown’s wise and sweet words are back in the companion book our childhoods are missing. Good Day, Good Night is the newest book from Margaret Wise Brown, the unpublished work that is now an instant family treasure. The beautiful illustrations from Loren Long really help to capture the essence of Margaret Wise Brown’s words. Reading this book with my daughter is like revisiting an old friend. Happy, safe, warm, familiar.

Good Day, Good Night Paper Plate Craft

To celebrate the new book release, we got out our good old paper plates, paint and glue for this inspired Good Day, Good Night Paper Plate Craft. Perfect for reading along, your kids will love telling you when it’s day and when it’s night during the story with their own flippable day-to-night paper plate puppet. Ready to make your own? Here’s how:

What You Will Need:

(2) Paper Plates
Paint: Yellow, Orange, Black
(1) Popsicle Stick
Glue
Scissors

Directions:

Take 1 plate and paint the front and back in yellow. Allow to dry.
Paint the front of the 2nd plate orange. Paint the back of the plate in black. Allow to dry.
When dry, take the orange/black plate and cut out a crescent moon shape out of the middle (use the inner circle as a guide). Avoid cutting close to the outer ridged area.
Take the yellow plate and cut out small triangles out of the ridged area to create a sun shape.
Glue the yellow plate on top of the orange/black plate, adding your popsicle stick in the middle, as shown. Allow to dry.

VOILA! You have a wonderful day night paper plate craft, perfect for reading the new Good Day, Good Night book together!

Set Realistic Goals

It could be as easy as burning enough calories for those daily PSLs or running a longer distance so you can splurge on Halloween candy. The point is to make your fitness goals realistic and obtainable in the fall time frame you’re setting. So 10 pounds in 1 week? Yeah, probably not. But 5 pounds before Don’t forget to write them down too!

Change Up Your Routine

Don’t get stuck in a workout rut this fall. New season calls for new workout routine! Change up your routine with these fast tips:

Get outside! With the fall weather here, now is the perfect time to get outdoors. Change your scenery and your atmosphere for more fitness motivation!
Try something new! Fall is a great time to fall in love with a new workout. Don’t be afraid to try a whole new exercise – even something out of your comfort zone this season.
