Banana Chocolate Overnight Oats for Busy School Mornings
Overnight oats are amazing. Where has this breakfast been all of my life?
My son has always been the oatmeal lover but trying to make a bowl during busy school mornings can be difficult, especially when it takes that extra 10 minutes to pull yank gently and lovingly coax him out of bed. So this Easy Banana Chocolate Overnight Oats Recipe is the perfect solution for busy school mornings.
Made with your child the night before, packed with school-fuel and full of kid-friendly flavors, those few extra minutes in the morning can make the difference for a GREAT day of learning and keeping the morning monster at bay!
I love my son dearly. But waking this kid up in the morning is one of the hardest mom jobs in the world. I have been punched. I have been kicked. I have been yelled at. It’s amazing how my sweet 7-year old boy can turn into the ugly morning monster.
So breakfast normally consists of me pleading a tired and angry boy to take bites of a banana and cereal before running to the bus. Not cool, especially when he has so much learning to do, creativity to foster and fun memories to make!
So I turn to overnight oats, the perfect breakfast solution for busy school days. But making a delicious breakfast that also contains all of that brain food my son needs for first grade can be a challenge. What’s my secret to the sweet success? Nesquik! This energy packed low-fat chocolate milk is full of 7 essential vitamins and minerals, contains no artificial colors or flavors and has 45% less sugar than other chocolate syrups.
And the best part? No refrigeration is required, with these convenient 8 oz. bottles packaged in a 10-pack! With this POWER packed drink, I know that my child is getting the nutrition he needs for an amazing school day!
I can place out all of the ingredients for his school breakfast the night before and let him do the work. And since he LOVES helping out in the kitchen, allowing him to be the chef gives him the recipe for less breakfast battles with mom in the morning! YEAH! With this delicious and easy Banana Chocolate Overnight Oats Recipe, we create delicious school-fuel this boy needs to learn, grow and succeed.
Here’s how to make it:

We are empty nesters, but we have a lot of grandkids & during the summer, they stay over a lot.
I pinned this great idea, because we usually have TruMoo or Nesquik in the house. Plus I have oatmeal for breakfast a lot & we have chocolate chip morsels left over from our Christmas baking.
So watch out grandkids! No more getting away with not having anything to eat OR eating junk in the morning anymore! They will not know everything that is in this recipe either, because these keep in the fridge for a couple of days. I am getting either sneakier or wiser in m OLD age!!
