Bizaardvark Interview | 7 Fun Facts About The Cast
Disney Channel’s newest show Bizaardvark strikes a chord with today’s young audience, reaching out in ways that really connect with teens and tweens.
In this exclusive Bizaardvark Interview, we got a chance to sit down with the stars of the show: Olivia Rodrigo (Paige) Madison Hu (Frankie), DeVore Ledridge (Amelia), Ethan Wacker (Bernard) and Vine sensation Jake Paul (Dirk). Check out how these young actors relate to their characters, what inspires them and what message they hope to bring to kids and families.
Ethan and Jake both have their own YouTube Channels IRL
The show inspires the whole cast of the possibility of having their own YouTube channels. While Jake currently has a very successful YouTube channel and Vine following (that’s how he got onto the show!), Ethan admits that he just started his channel a few weeks ago.
The Freedom to Ad Lib
We have a lot of freedom to add our personal touches.
Jake gets asks to do some of the dares. The executive producers admit that Ethan ad libs QUITE a bit, including additions of stunts. But the whole cast adds that the finished product is usually a good combination of the original script and ad lib-ing.
Their not so hidden talents
Putting on YouTube star personas comes easier to the cast than we think. All possessing talents, Olivia and Madison reveal:
“We both play guitar and piano. We both sing as well.”
How do they fit in school?
School can be a challenge when you’re filming and rehearsing. Here’s how they accomplish so much in a day:
“We have to do 3 hours of school a day at minimum. We all do homeschool but we do it here with teachers. We all have the same teachers. It’s cool because we make our own little school here. School is always a priority.”

How are the cast similar to their characters?
Are the cast very similar of different from their characters?
Olivia about Paige – “I’m really similar. My character is kind of sarcastic and very open and that’s something I can relate to.”
Madison about Frankie – “I’m like my character also. She’s very quirky and awkward. She’s also very kind.”
DeVora about Amelia – “I like make up a lot and the fashion aspect. Her ideas are the same”
Jake about Dirk – “Yeah, I definitely relate. [LAUGHTER] I make videos and so does Dirk”
Ethan about Bernard – “I’m half and half. I like how Bernie is pretty optimistic, open-minded and always has the best intentions. But I pride myself on kind of being athletic, and Bernie’s not.”
Tips for Fans that want to do video
The cast also leaves some tips for fans that want to excel in video making.
“Find your niche. Be consistent. You can’t post something and just stop. Really create that brand.”
Why Should Families Watch Bizaardvark?
In their own words, the cast of Bizaardvark explains why not just kids but families will love the newest Disney Channel show.
It’s something no one has ever seen before. It’s really cool because it’s social media oriented. It shows kids that they can follow their dreams. You don’t need to be on a T.V. show or go on Broadway to express yourself.
