7 Signs of a True VeggieTales Fan | New VeggieTales Plushes

Is your kid a VeggieTales fanatic? I loved growing up with this adorable vegetable gang. And now as a parent, I am proud to say that I have 2 little VeggieTales lovers of my own. So how do you tell the signs of a true VeggieTales Fan? I have 7 Signs of a True VeggieTales Fan. Be on the watch with your kids!

1. Cue Theme Song

In the car. At a restaurant. Whenever anyone says the word “veggie.” You hear it in your head all the time…the VeggieTales Theme Song. And even if your kids know no other words, your 2 year old can belt out the word “VeggieTales” over and over…and over. Now that you have the song stuck in your head for the rest of the day, you’re welcome.

2. You own enough videos for a full marathon day

Which show should we watch today, you certainly have the choices. You own enough VeggieTales videos to launch your own library, and more than enough folks boring your stash to host their own VeggieTales night. Your kids pick shows based on whether the veggies are in space or tossing stinky cheese or playing with animals. And you understand their lingo EXACTLY.

3. Your children think talking veggies that hold things without hands is completely normal

What, your veggies don’t sing, dance and put on socks…even without feet? This is a completely normal affair with the VeggieTales! It’s not a video without floating objects in midair and chat about missing limbs.

4. Your child gets sad because other shows don’t have Silly Songs with Larry

It’s not a show without an interruption from Larry. Your kids love that. So when your child’s show finishes without the hilarious interruption, it’s heartbreaking. No song? No dance? No Larry being funny? It’s just not the same.

5. Your kids actually eat veggies now

Yes, even my pickiest kids in the world now eat veggies because of VeggieTales. Those subliminal “eat your veggies” message actually worked! And my daughter’s favorite veggie? Cucumbers, of course! This is definitely the major PLUS of VeggieTales 🙂

6. Your kids have a better grasp on the Bible stories than you do

You gotta admit, VeggieTales makes Bible verses and stories so much more fun that in Sunday School. So when your child can remember the story of Noah better than you do and can recite verses from John like no one’s business you know you have VeggieTales to thank for that one. YES!

We LOVE the Veggie Tales!! We have given a few of their DVDs as gifts. Now that I know they have Veggie Tales plush toys at Walmart, I will be adding one of these with a DVD as gifts. Then they can learn about the Bible while holding their new friend.
