If there was ever a word that I thought was 100% “out there,” I probably wouldn’t have even come into the realm of the word Bizaardvark. Yes, that’s oddly the words Bizarre and Aardvark together. It also happens to be the name of the newest show on the Disney Channel this summer. I’m On-Set and Behind-the-Scenes of Bizaardvark, Disney Channel’s newest show – aka your kids’ new favorite show this summer.

What is Bizaardvark About?

So what is Bizaardvark? This live comedy-action show follows two teens, Paige and Frankie, quirky best friends with a love for making bizarre videos about their lives. Finally with 10,000 subscribers, these two are finally invited to produce their videos at their dream location, Vuuugle Studios (kind of like YouTube).

With twists, turns and a lot of fun laughs, these two girls have a mission to take on the video blogging world and celebrate everyone’s weirdness, oddness, and uniqueness along the way. Video blogging? I was already in love with these girls. Totally fitting the theme of today’s teens (it seems like every kid has their own channel these days!), Disney really is embracing the modern world with a great message.

So what’s it like on-set for an up and coming Disney Channel show? Let me show you. I’m always in awe when I step onto a live set. BONUS, it was my first time at the Disney Channel.

Our set visit took place right inside of Vuuugle Studios.

loads of props,

and a live rehearsal with the stars!

I’ll be honest. I was very skeptical when Disney gave us a sneak preview of the first episode. I mean, Bizaardvark? I could hardly say the name. But as soon as I saw these two girls on screen, I became an instant fan. Their weirdness, their energy, even their humor got my attention. The “Come Back” song is genius. GENIUS!

And while I won’t be giving you any spoilers, I urge parents to sit down and watch with your kids. It’s THAT good. Celebrating uniqueness in today’s world is definitely a message everyone should embrace. Paige and Frankie are doing “weirdness” complete justice in my new favorite Disney Channel show, Bizaardvark. Weird name. FUN show.
