Watermelon Pineapple Basil Smoothie Recipe

AKA, a little happiness in a glass. I’ve been wanting to make a smoothie recipe for awhile, but summer got away from me. I find this smoothie as a great moment to enjoy some of the memories of summer, especially as we enter the new school year. Fresh, sweet, and a hint of basil add a little surprise to your normal smoothie routine. And yes, absolutely delicious, gluten-free and dairy-free! Here’s how to make this quick and easy Watermelon Pineapple Basil Smoothie recipe:

I know, the combination sounds weird. But trust me when I say that this smoothie is absolutely refreshing, delicious and surprising. That sweet watermelon and pineapple combo, that hint of unexpected basil, it’s a pick-me-up drink that is great for adults and kids too!

For the adults out there, a little coconut rum also would be a delicious twist on this smoothie. My family really loved it, even my baby girl! I love the hint of sweet basil in there to contrast with the fresh fruit flavors. Did you try this recipe! Let me know. And be sure to pin it for later too! Need some more recipe inspiration?
