6 Reasons to Visit Fun Spot America Kissimmee with Your Family
Orlando locals know about Fun Spot America – one of our local travel secrets. It’s an amazing theme park in the area with many, but most folks outside of Orlando don’t know it exists.
So today I’m spilling the beans about this fun local hot-spot and how to make the most of your family’s visit. Here are six great reasons to visit Fun Spot America Kissimmee with your family, and it all begins with the word “free.”
They Actually Mean FREE
Free is hard to come by in the tourist capital of the world. So when I hear the words free and Orlando in the same sentence, my ears are instantly perked. Fun Spot America offers families a lot of “FREE,” including free parking, free admission, free entertainment and even free Wi-Fi. That’s huge savings for families wanting more out of vacation. Be sure to take advantage of free admission by walking around the park first — check out the rides, the lines and the cleanliness up close.
Experience Theme Park Rides at Family Budget-Friendly Prices
It’s not too often that I can say my family of four enjoyed a theme park for under $100. With prices lower than other theme parks in the area, our Fun Spot day passes allowed us access to every ride in the park. Fun Spot America is also one of the few theme parks that offer military discounts, school discounts, coupons, and Groupon deals. Just because you’re saving money, Fun Spot doesn’t skimp on the extras. The rides are maintained well. The park is clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The lines are short.
It’s a Slice of Go-Kart Heaven
Fun Spot America Kissimmee offers go-kart paradise – it’s four stories high, and has multiple weaving tracks the world’s steepest banking curve — for little and big drivers alike. Get behind the wheel and race off to the Vortex and Chaos Go-Kart tracks for tons of exhilarating action! I love the two-seater karts so that the little ones can ride along, too!
Thrill Seekers Are Welcome
Maybe you’re looking for something more thrilling than bumper cars. I get that. Well thrill seekers will be happy to hear there are plenty of true adrenaline rushes to be found at Fun Spot America Kissimmee, too. The World’s Tallest SkyCoaster makes its home here, standing at 300 feet tall. Heavy G forces are found on the Rockstar Coaster. There are also rides appropriately named HeadRush and Screamer. Enough said.
A New Kind of Roller Coaster Opens Summer 2017
Don’t let this old-fashioned wooden roller coaster — standing over 80 feet high and topping out at 48 m.p.h., fool you. This wood-steel hybrid coaster is the first of its kind to come to Central Florida. The Mine Blower Roller Coaster promises a 360-degree barrel roll, all without shoulder harness support. This thrill is set to open June 23, 2017. That means one thing; our family will be back soon.
It’s Next Door to Old Town
Fun Spot happens to be next-door neighbors to Old Town, a popular spot for shopping, eating and more rides, and another of the best kept secrets of Fun Spot America Kissimmee location. Included with your Fun Spot America Single Day Pass is access to five more rides in Old Town:
- Ferris Wheel
- Paratrooper
- Carousel
- Crazy Couch
- Tilt-a-Whirl
Grab the best view of the park from the top of the Old Town Ferris Wheel, one of my favorites.
A Fun Family Day Awaits
One of the biggest mistakes families can make is planning to stop by Fun Spot America for a only quick trip. With over 22 rides (and the new Mine Blower Roller Coaster coming soon!), short lines and tons of other family friendly activities, our first visit to Fun Spot America Kissimmee grew into a full day of fun.
