Top Budget Beauty Picks for Glowing Skin Under $5

My name is Christie and I am “beauty challenged.” I still don’t know how to use an eyelash curler. What the heck is makeup primer for? And if there’s any brand that has created an actual smudge proof eyeliner for Asian eyes, I’m still searching for you. But thankfully, I’ve always had glowing skin. Maybe it’s in the genes (there’s perks to being Korean!) or that Floridian humidity (it’s not sweat – it’s G L O W), I get asked often how I keep my skin looking healthy and youthful.

And while most beauty buffs are investing in expensive creams and fancy facial treatments, I’m over here like – I’ve got my drugstore favorites? Glowing skin doesn’t have to be complicated. So today I’m sharing my Top Budget Beauty Picks for Glowing Skin Under $5. That’s under $5 per product, y’all. See what I’m using right now and how you are only 4 steps away from beautiful glowing skin (for less).

Best makeup wipes for mom

1. Use a Heavy Duty Makeup Wipe

A makeup wipe is a mom’s best friend. My face is prone to breakouts, especially on those days when I need to wear makeup to feel like a member of society. (Mom life is rough!). But that combo of sensitive skin and stubborn mascara doesn’t allow for el cheapo wipes in my life. I can’t afford to use 10 wipes per makeup session! So I keep a stash of Simple® Cleansing Facial Wipes on hand at all times. Great for a quick refresh (especially after a workout), these babies erase all traces of makeup too, only 1 wipe required.

2. Get a Deep Clean that You Can Feel

When it burns, you know it’s working. I am all about a deep clean, especially when it comes to my face. And I take my face wash very seriously. That’s when I reach for my big container of Noxzema® (yes, the same container we used as teens) – the tingling, burning eucalyptus gives my face that deep clean that I crave after a long day. Mom pampering requires a little burning refreshment, don’t you think?

3. Exfoliate, Exfoliate, Exfoliate

Have a little extra time in your week? Go for the exfoliation! I give my face an even deeper scrub about 2x per week with St. Ives® Apricot Scrub. This product sits in my shower when I need that extra deep exfoliation (or escape from my kids, whatever). I love how this product has the little exfoliating pieces that you can see and a fresh apricot scent to help bring out your skin’s natural glow.

4. Finish With Generous Hydration

When in doubt, reach for hydration! I always finish my daily skincare routine with a deeply nourishing skin cream. And with fall on the horizon (and a huge drop in humidity), my face tends to dry out quickly. That’s when I reach for PONDS® Dry Skin Cream. I lather that business all over my face for a soft and hydrating end to my beauty routine.

Best beauty products at walmart

So where can you find my favorite drugstore beauty products for less? Walmart, of course. All of these items can be found down the Beauty aisle – and yes, for less than $5 a product.

Nothing fancy. Nothing complicated. Just the glowing skin you want with products that do the job. There’s a reason why Ponds, Noxema, St. Ives and Simple have been around awhile. They work.

I can totally afford products under $5. I remember using Noxema when I was a teen.

I like Ponds. Many beauty products that are less expensive have the very same things as the more expensive ones.
