Sid The Science Kid: The Movie Review | Safe for Kids?
NCircle Entertainment/PR company provided a FREE product for this review

I received the opportunity to review the FIRST Sid The Science Kid Movie! Created by the Jim Henson Company, Sid the Science Kid, the loveable little guy from the hit PBS show is now featured in his first full length animated film titled Sid the Science Kid: The Movie!

Movie Synopsis

Sid the Science Kid: The Movie” follows Sid and his friend Gabriela through their adventure in The Super Ultimate Science Museum.  After winning a science fair contest, Sid and Gabriela are named “Junior Investigators” and are awarded with a special inside look at the new museum before it opens to the public. Once there, they meet quirky scientist Dr. Bonabodon (voiced by guest star Christopher Lloyd), who has designed robot tour guides, including Bobbybot, his greatest creation. Sid and Gabriela also meet Yangyang and Niuniu, the “Future Scientist” contest winners from China, and the four pals observe giant honey bees, investigate robots, and even encounter a giant singing Tyrannosaurus Rex. But when their robot guide short-circuits, Sid, Gabriela, Yangyang, and Niuniu must work together and use science to try to save the day. Together, they learn that you can be a scientist at any age – and that thinking like a kid is sometimes the best way to solve a problem!

Boy holding Sid the Science Kid: The Movie DVD

First of all, my son was SUPER excited to watch his new Sid the Science Kid movie (and I became the AWESOME-EST mom). We have only seen the short 30 minute shows on PBS, so having 75 minutes of Sid and his friends was a real treat! He loved dancing to the upbeat music, solving science problems with his buddies Sid and Gabriela, and laughing (and learning) his way through 75 minutes of non-stop Sid the Science Kid FUN! He loved the dinosaur room and the funny antics of the robots! I was completely impressed how the movie blended humor, music, fun facts and critical thinking throughout the movie. My son didn’t even realize how much science knowledge he was gaining!

To celebrate the release of Sid the Science Kid: The Movie on DVD on April 2nd, NCircle Entertainment is sponsoring FUN events for families across the U.S. in local children’s museums, including Orlando, Florida’s Orlando Science Center on April 13th! Be sure to check out the NCircle Entertainment Events page to see where the next FUN Sid the Science Kid event is happening!

Sid the Science Kid: The Movie is available for the first time on DVD on April 2nd, priced at $12.99 SRP. Check your local store and pick up a copy for your Sid the Science Kid fan!

Disclosure ~ I received a free product from NCircle Entertainment/PR company, in exchange for this review and giveaway. No other compensation received. Though the product was free, the opinions are 100% my own!
