Is the new Muppets film sequel ok for children to see? In this Muppets Most Wanted Movie Review | Safe for Kids, an honest parent look at the Muppets live action film. #MuppetsMostWanted

Muppets Most Wanted Movie Review | Safe for Kids?

Muppets fans, rejoice! Our favorite gang is back in town starting today (March 21st)! Introducing the long anticipated Muppets Most Wanted movie, just in time for Spring Break.

What made this movie really special? The fact that I got to take my son for a date day. My childhood love for Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie, Gonzo, the Swedish Chef, and the whole Muppets gang has been passed down to my son. His love for these adorable pals really hit deep as we got to preview Muppets Most Wanted together in the theaters for the first time in Mommy/Son history. We couldn’t have picked a better Muppets movie to be our first!

The Story

In this latest Muppets escapade, we get to join the entire Muppets gang on a global tour, selling out grand theaters in some of Europe’s most exciting destinations, including Berlin, Madrid, Dublin and London. But mayhem follows the Muppets overseas, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine—the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit the Frog—and his dastardly sidekick Dominic, aka Number Two, portrayed by Ricky Gervais. The film stars Tina Fey as Nadya, a feisty prison guard, and Ty Burrell as Interpol agent Jean Pierre Napoleon. But the great celebrity sightings don’t stop there.

Tons of great songs throughout the movie and dance routines that are hilarious. An evil villain, a grand theft, a wedding?, a prison Broadway show and more await your family for an epic Muppet adventure you don’t want to miss. Let’s not forget the famous actors and singers cameos (in true Muppets style) during the movie. I definitely was laughing (ok, crying laughing) at some of the cameo antics!

My son loved to point out when the “evil frog” was on screen. He didn’t want me to be confused with the real Kermit 🙂 What a FUN date! Popcorn, drinks and a Muppet gang. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend the afternoon!

Excited? Grab your 8 FREE Kids Muppets Most Wanted Printables for coloring and activity sheets your children will LOVE (ok, and adults too).

Be prepared to laugh, to smile and to have some great family memories as you enjoy the new Muppets Most Wanted movie by Disney, in theaters today.
