Grow Some Boom This Spring with Angie’s Boomchickapop

April Showers brings….POPCORN! It’s back! Spring is here and that means it’s time to head outside with the kids to Grow Some Boom. If you missed our growing adventures last year, Angie’s Boomchickapop is encouraging families to get outside and grown their very own organic Non-GMO corn, perfect for making into homemade popcorn! Doesn’t that sound yummy? And this year, we’re back to do it all again. Check out how you can grow some boom this spring and enter to win your own Grow Some Boom Prize Pack!

Grow some boom 2015

1. Dust off the gardening gear

I’ll admit, it’s been awhile since I planted something (other than lollipops that is). So getting all of the proper equipment including organic soil, pots, gloves and gardening tools took a little bit of “digging” in the garage. (Like the pun?)

2. Plant your Boom

Using our individual little pots, we planted about 1-2 seeds an inch down into our soil. Covered and watered. My little princess was a little more persistent with her pot…we might see a whole bunch of sprouts soon 🙂

3. Give your Boom some TLC

Make sure to water, fertilize and weed your boom regularly. And for those in Florida, watch out for the hot sun! You don’t want to scorch your crop like we did last year. And while you’re at it, think about putting together a fun album of pictures to capture your progress! Makes a great book for your kids to look back on.

4. Watch it grow!

We are hoping for a good crop of corn by fall this year, hopefully in time for Halloween! The Florida sun took out our crop last year, but my little determined planters are giving our seeds some extra TLC this year. Stay tuned on my Twitter and Instagram pages for our progress! I’d love to make my kids healthy organic Non-GMO popcorn this time.

No need to feel impatient! Grab yourself a bag of delicious Angie’s Boomchickapop while you wait! This non-GMO, gluten-free popcorn is a great snacking choice for you and your family. . And with healthy snacking on the rise, Angie’s Boomchickapop definitely quenches that hunger! They all sound tasty but I’d probably start with the white cheddar then move right to the sweet and salty kettle. Oh heck, who am I kidding? I’d open them all to give them a taste.
