10 Favorite Busch Gardens Christmas Town Moments #ChristmasTown

Has your family experienced the 2014 Busch Gardens Christmas Town yet? Then you are missing out! So much to see, do and taste throughout the park all with a Busch Gardens holiday flair, your family will be immersed in everything jolly! We spent a whole day discovering our first Busch Gardens Christmas Town and put together our Top 10 Favorite Busch Gardens Christmas Town moments. What was at the top of our nice list?

Busch gardens Christmas town Santa

1. Pics with Santa & Cookies from Mrs. Claus

Visiting Santa is more than just a flash at Busch Gardens. Welcome to Santa’s House features a beautifully transformed house, made to look just like the Clauses home! Presents under the tree, a 50s style kitchen and a bustle of singing elves greet you as your family is lead to a magical corridor. Your child’s whisper of “I Believe!” opens a secret door into Santa’s room. Take family photos and be sure to tell the big guy what you want for Christmas! (Psst, he wants Monster Trucks still, Mr. Claus.)

Then on the way out, you are greeted by Mrs. Claus and a warm cookie as you wave goodbye. Seriously, a fun experience that is well worth the wait. From the décor, the atmosphere and even the beard, our family just loved our wonderful Santa experience!

2. Penguin Point

Have you seen the latest animal expansion at Busch Gardens? Head over to the North Pole area and check out the all new Penguin Point! Penguin Point features some of your favorite wintry friends, perfect for a “chill” picture. My son definitely loved getting up close and personal with his new penguin buddies. They were hamming up for the camera!

3. Singing Carols on the Christmas Town Express

Those classic Busch Gardens steam trains have been transformed into Christmas Town Express Trains! Ride around the park in Christmas style, complete with carols for the season. So fun to get the whole train involved in the Christmas spirit!

4. Beautiful Picture Ops Throughout the Park

I was so impressed with the holiday décor. Busch Gardens has done an amazing job turning their park into a Winter Wonderland. Bubble snow, 1000s of poinsettias, trees, ornaments, the works! I absolutely love all of the wonderful photo opportunities available throughout the park! Beautiful set ups just waiting for your smiling faces, I an see any one of these areas as the cover of your family Christmas photo!

5. Fresh Belgian Waffles & Creamy Hot Chocolate

Busch Gardens really knows how to talk to your Christmas tummy! Hot ham and pretzel roll sandwiches, Creamy Ghirardelli Hot Chocolate, Cupcakes, Cookies and my favorite fresh Belgian Waffles with an assortment of toppings are ready to please your holiday taste buds! It’s totally worth it to grab the reusable Hot Chocolate mug for $5.99. You can refill again and again at every Christmas Town (even future years).

6. Trains of All Sizes

Tucked into Christmas Town Village (the normal concert area by Gwazi), you’ll find a perfect model train set up under the canopy roof. Little lights, working parts and even the sounds of a locomotor going by, this was by far my son’s favorite area of the day. Right next to the model train is a small 6 car train for you and your family to ride as well! Christmas trains of all sizes throughout Busch Gardens is definitely a treat for my family!

Busch gardens nativity

7. A Breathtaking Life-Size Nativity

I love when theme parks give a not so subtle statement to the true meaning of the season. Tucked into Nativity Way, you’ll notice a path of angels leading to one of the prettiest displays of the park. This beautiful Holy Nativity display is made entirely of topiary and plants in a life sized representation.

8. Dazzling Christmas Shows

Not 1, not 2, but over 10 Christmas themed shows are featured every weekend at Christmas Town. There’s definitely a show for every family member. Enjoy a breathtaking ice skating show with Christmas on Ice, a sing along with Elmo‘s Christmas Wish, local choir performances at the Hallelujah Showcase, street Brass Bands and get moving with your friends from Madagascar Live! Operation: Christmas Vacation! Light shows, singers, dancers and more, there was just so much fun to be had!

Busch gardens Christmas lights

9. Christmas Lights Unlike Anywhere Else

1,000s of LED lights illuminate the night sky at Bush Gardens Christmas Town. Watch as the whole park transforms into a twinkling display before your eyes, all starting at sunset. Those walkways you once knew during the day become something out of a Christmas storybook. Watch for those flying Flamingo lights! Those were definitely some of our favorites!

Busch gardens Christmas attractions

10. The Busch Gardens Attractions You Love!

A Busch Gardens Christmas Town experience isn’t the same without your family’s favorite Busch Gardens attractions! See your favorite animal encounters, ride some of the most thrilling attractions in the world (like Cheetah Hunt, Montu, and the all new Falcon’s Fury), and experience family rides for even the littlest ones. There’s so many wonderful moments to be had at Busch Gardens.

Busch gardens Christmas town review

To say that our first Busch Gardens’ Christmas Town experience was overwhelming would be an understatement. We stayed the whole day and STILL did not get to discover all of the Christmas wonderment inside. I definitely would take at least an entire weekend for your family to see, hear, do and taste all of that Christmas Town has to offer.
