Fall Steak Kabobs with Apple Cider Marinade

While you guys are sipping on your Pumpkin Spice Lattes and pulling out your adorable fall wardrobe, I’m still sweltering in 90 degree heat.

Insert side-eye.

When fall doesn’t arrive in Florida…you have to create your own. We Floridians have to be a tad bit more creative when it comes to incorporating fall into our lives – which is why I’m taking fall to the grill. Taste the season with these Fall Steak Kabobs with Apple Cider Marinade plus check out why I’m joining the Protein Challenge!

Why I Joined the Protein Challenge

Every morning, I wake up feeling great. I have 2 boiled eggs for breakfast, along with my cup of coffee. By the time I finish eating, I’m ready to conquer the world. I wish I could tell you that the feeling lasts all day. But that’s where you lose me.

In the midst of errands, toddler wrangling, work and a constant stream of interruptions – I may have lunch around 3-4 pm – that’s if I get to eat at all. The afternoon crash hits me, hard. By the time dinner rolls around, I’m starving – shoveling in the equivalent of 2 meals in about 5 minutes. Barely enough energy to stay awake, I checkout – barely tucking my kids in before my head hits the pillow. Not my best parenting. And then the cycle starts over the next day.

I knew that I needed a big change. But here’s the thing, I’m NOT a diet girl. So when I was invited to try the 30-day Protein Challenge with The Beef Checkoff, I was skeptical at best – stomping my feet at worst. But here’s the thing. The Protein Challenge makes it easy to add just a little bit more protein throughout our day – avoiding the crash and curbing hunger – so we can reach our pre-baby weight goals. Plus there are tons of FREE tools to get us going:

  • 30-day calendar
  • Pantry stocking cheat sheet
  • Lots of FREE recipes
  • Printable food journal
  • Dining out tips
  • And more

So here I am, a few days underway – already feeling better. Little changes make a huge impact.

These would go over big in my house. My boys love kabobs! Something about eating their food off of a stick.

This sounds so good. I love that you used apple cider. Apple is a classic fall flavor, and I can see how it would accentuate the beef and veggies. Yummo!

These sound really good. I think the apple cider would really compliment everything. I would almost want to parboil the sweet potatoes to make sure they got done.
High protein is a good thing. They say most women in particular dont get enough. I have been trying to eat more too and have feel better.

Normally my favorite season is summer because I love barefoot, lazy days with my family. But fall sure does have summer beat when it comes to flavor. These look sooo good!
