Keurig 2.0 review

Coffee Your Way | Keurig 2.0 Review #HelloKeurig

Coffee. It speaks my language. It’s no secret that my love for Keurig runs deep. We have a long standing history, having been through a few brewers and now many many cups of coffee together. So when the brand new Keurig 2.0 came out for 2014, I knew I had to get my cups of coffee ready for a new adventure. Why, because of the new Keurig 2.0 Carafe. No long just a 1 cup option, the Keurig 2.0 gives you coffee your way. And I have 7 reasons why you need to check out the Keurig 2.0, including full video review!

Check out my full video review to see all of the fun features and brewed coffee in action!

Keurig 2 carafe

1. Hello Carafe

Long gone are the days of the single cup of perfection. You now have the power of up to 5 cups of Keurig brewed coffee, thanks to the new Keurig Carafe. Option from 3 cups up to 5 cups thanks to larger sized K Cups now available.

, your company no longer has to wait for a hot cup of deliciousness! The included carafe is insulated to keep your coffee warm and includes a removable top for easy pouring, emptying and cleaning.

2. Goodbye Loud Machine

Yes, yes, yes! The Keurig 2.0 has taken away the dreadful loud noise when the water tank empties and has replaced it with a much quieter machine. This is definitely one of my favorite upgrades the the Keurig machine, especially with a light sleeping baby!

3. User Friendly Digital Display

What I love about the new Keurig 2.0, is even if you’ve never used a Keurig machine before, this one is very user friendly. The color digital display with touch pad controls gives you easy instructions on how to use your new machine.

4. Large 80 oz. Water Tank

Thank you, Keurig! The large 80. water tank is perfect for those looking for a Keurig that can hold more water. It even has an easy open top so you can now pour water directly into the tank (though the old detachable tank option is still available as well).

5. Coffee Your Way

There are even more options that ever for Keurig 2.0. Besides single and carafe serving sizes, the Keurig 2.0 offers 10 different cup sizes. You also have the option to choose your brew strength! This is great for those that want a little extra oomph and control over their Keurig brew. I definitely have taken advantage of the stronger coffee (hey, I have 2 kids!).

6. Timer

Along with digital wonderfulness, the Keurig 2.0 now includes a setting for a timer. Your coffee can be set to brew for the exact time you want. Who loves the smell of coffee as you rise?

7. Customize to fit your lifestyle

And when you think the Keurig 2.0 can’t get any more fun, there’s now options to customize your machine! Change the wallpaper color and design on the display screen to fit your mood and style. The included water tank nightlight (such a fun feature) can also change color!

The K-Cup Question

So to answer everyone’s burning K-Cup question, the new Keurig 2.0 only reads the specific label sensor on the top of the Keurig brewed certified cups. With over 275+ beverage varieties from 50+ brands of approved and licensed K-Cups, there’s definitely quite a few choices out there for you. All Keurig brewed certified K-Cups will have been manufactured after July 2014 with this label. So keep this in mind when purchasing new K-Cups for your Keurig 2.0. Putting an old labeled K-Cup in your new machine will tell your machine NOT to make your cup. Yes, it’s true. So definitely keep this in mind when purchasing the Keurig 2.0 for yourself or a gift.

Overall, I really love my new Keurig 2.0 K550. It’s sleek, stylish, and has lots of personality. I can customize my machine and my coffee to make it just the way I want. And we’re definitely ready for entertaining with the new carafe! So many great features to consider. And with the holidays just around the corner, I know these will definitely be flying off the shelves! Follow Keurig via Facebook and Twitter for the latest products, sweepstakes and more!

So look for the new Keurig 2.0 and happy coffee making!

My husband wants this Keurig so bad. I have an old Keurig that really isn’t sounding good so I told him we will get it when ours goes to Keurig-heaven. I like the carafe so much!

I don’t mind the noise because it reminds me the cup is about ready, but it’s great to be able to brew it in large batches instead. The nice big tank is a dream too!

I love the look of that machine! My Keurig died a few months ago and I’ve been feeling a little lost without it 🙂

I definintely like this option more than the traditional Keurig. I hated waiting for my husbands coffee to finish before I could even start mine

How nice that it’s quieter! Ours is loud. I’ve never really minded b/c I’m not waking anyone up, but it would be nice if it were quieter.

I love that it makes a karafe now. I wouldn’t very often make just one cup.
