What became of Del Frisco’s on I-drive in Orlando? Check out my review of Christner’s Prime Steak & Lobster | New Name, Same Delicious Food. This is a sponsored post.

Del Frisco's is now Christner's

Christner’s Prime Steak & Lobster | New Name, Same Delicious Food

You may have seen a few changes down Lee Road over the past few years. Christner’s Prime Steak & Lobster, one of Central Florida’s high end steakhouses has emerged in the area. The building may look familiar to us locals. Formerly known as Del Frisco’s, this restaurant has been an iconic place for a delicious prime steak since 1993. But while the name has changed you’d be more surprised to hear what hasn’t.

Family owner Carole Christner and her late husband Russ had opened Del Frisco’s in 1993 and seen through all of the changes since. From becoming one of the best steakhouses in the region to the fusion and expansion of the adjoining building in 2000, the Christner family has prided themselves on providing simply the best for their customers.

But even though the name has changed, not one recipe has been affected. That’s right, every piece of the menu is the same, so you can still enjoy the steak you love, delicious seafood and generous portions.

I was very blessed to have been invited to a special bloggers Sips + Sides event where we got dine, drink, mingle and enjoy the atmosphere! We enjoyed beautiful grand piano music (also a seating area), “magic” tricks right at our table, and great company. The gourmet crab cakes and the candied bacon are heavenly. I highly recommend them! The rooms are cozy with dark accented woods, a beautiful wine cellar, and the largest scotch collection in the area.

Winter Park Distilling Company Cocktail

We got to enjoy complimentary drinks provided by the Winter Park Distilling Company. Seriously, the vodka is very smooth and delicious!

Christner's Review

Isn’t this room beautiful? I love the hanging chandelier and plush leather seating. So cozy and prepared for everything from a company meeting to a private romantic events, Christner’s wants to ensure you are having the best dining experience every time you arrive.

It’s February, which means Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! Consider Christner’s Prime Steak & Lobster for your next romantic evening! They are offering a special dinner for two which includes choice of bottle of champagne or wine; dinner or Caesar salad; 8-ounce filet, 12-ounce prime strip, 16-ounce rib-eye or salmon; asparagus, chateau potatoes, sautéed mushrooms, cream corn or Osage spinach; and chocolate mousse or cheesecake with berries. Cost is $200 per couple, tax and gratuity included. A Surf & Turf for Two upgrade is optional for $250, and includes a shrimp cocktail with the salad course, and a 10-ounce steak.

Stay connected! Follow Christner’s via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

So you bet I’ll be asking the husband for my next romantic evening at Christner’s Prime Steak & Lobster, one of Central Florida’s BEST Steakhouse experiences! Don’t let the new family name fool you. Still great service, still the same amazing food await your next mommy night out!
