Enjoy The Best Thrill Rides, Without Motion Sickness
While I love experiencing all of the best thrill rides at Walt Disney World, I admit that I am prone to severe motion sickness. And if you’ve ever been as green around the gills as I have been, then you know that one moment can ruin your entire vacation. Don’t let your motion sickness get in the way of your love of thrill rides and Disney memories.
That’s why I always pack Dramamine® Non-Drowsy Naturals when we travel. Dramamine® has always been my #1 over-the-counter brand (and America’s too!) to help me treat and prevent my severe motion sickness. And this summer, I have Dramamine® Non-Drowsy Naturals packed for all of our summer adventures. One dose contains the full clinically-tested ginger dosage for the prevention and treatment of motion sickness. Since it’s made from natural ginger, Dramamine® Non-Drowsy Naturals is safe to use every day – even when on the most thrilling rides. I just take a dose 30 minutes before I jump onto a ride so I can enjoy all the best Walt Disney World thrill rides – with no motion sickness!
Big Thunder Mountain
Because we all “DUCK” when we go under the dinosaur bones. This rickety G-force induced train ride is classic Walt Disney World thrills – and has to be a part of this list. HAS to.
Space Mountain
And then you take Thunder Mountain and place it in complete darkness. Terrifyingly fun. The twists, turns, and drops become that much more exhilarating when you can’t see them coming. At all.
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
Heigh ho! Heigh ho! It’s off on a thrilling adventure we go! One of the newest thrill rides at Walt Disney World; the long lines prove that this unique coaster is worth waiting for. What makes Seven Dwarfs Mine Train so thrillingly fun? The extra “X” factor with swinging side-to-side bucket seats!

Tea Cups
Why did Tea Cups make this list? Because this thrill ride hides behind a mask of childhood innocence. You think it’s going to be a tame ride, right? I mean look at all of the kids that are screaming with delight! But then the wheel starts turning faster and faster and all of a sudden it hits you…complete heart pounding spinning disorientation.
Star Tours
If you’re about as excited as I am for Star Wars land, then this Star Wars inspired thrill ride is a MUST! Star Tours has changed a bunch over the years, but the results are always the same. A thrilling chase through space in this high speed 3D simulation ride.
Soarin’
This popular Epcot attraction takes to the skies! While seemingly tame as you glide along some of the best travel destinations in the world, the 40-foot ride off of the ground and 80-foot curved dome screen definitely adds to the thrill factor of this ride for a full sensory experience!
Splash Mountain
A thrilling water ride? Yes, please! When Florida temperatures rise, Splash Mountain keeps thrill seekers cool with a dropping good time! Plunge over 52 feet in this unique Disney log flume ride.
Expedition Everest
Terrifying heights, a Yeti and a thrilling roller coaster ride backwards – this is Expedition Everest. Animal Kingdom would not be the same without this one-of-a-kind coaster experience – and some of the best views of this Walt Disney World park!
Test Track
Buckle up thrill seekers! Conquer tight turns, steep hills and over 60 mph top speeds in this thrilling car ride! Test Track at Epcot is definitely one of our family thrill ride favorites, and also happens to be the fastest thrill ride at Walt Disney World. Beep beep!
Tower of Terror
Going down? And down…and down? My stomach is already in my throat thinking about the Tower of Terror ride at Hollywood Studios. This heart dropping elevator ride lowers guests at thrilling speeds – at unpredictable times.
Rock n’ Roller Coaster
Rock n’ roll will never be the same again. Go from 0 to 57 mph in 2.8 seconds in this Aerosmith inspired roller coaster. Featuring corkscrews and upside down loops, it is one of the most accelerating thrills at Disney World.
Mission: Space
Thrill seekers will want to go “ORANGE” for this centrifugal motion simulator thrill ride. Board your spacecraft and complete a mission to Mars as you experience liftoff and simulate space G-forces.

I haven’t been to Disney, sadly in a while. My favorite is definitely Space Mountain. I remember when I was little and so terrified of Tower of Terror, which my parents forced me to ride, lol.

Well…the last time (and only time) we were at Disney, my kids were very small. They are all grown up now, and when we were at Disney, we didn’t go on any adult rides. So…I honestly don’t know any big rides that I would like! haha Sorry…but if I had to just guess one, I would go with the Elevator that drops straight down. That would probably give me a heart attack!

I tried dramamine for the first time when I went on vacation with the kids last summer. Normally, I just sleep through the flight but I couldn’t because I had to keep an eye on my children and make sure they were okay. I was surprised at how well it worked, I had no motion sickness and felt great after the flight.

I would like Splash Mountain. I used to do all of the thrill coasters and such, but I’m too old and get sick on them now! But I love the water.

Well, we’ve got a 13 hr drive to Kissimmee next month and all of those rides could make for some serious wooziness. I’d say Dramamine would come in handy for all of that. Unfortunately, it won’t take away some of the fears I have of rollercoasters. hahahahaha I think I’ll be passing on the Everest ride.

My favorite is Tower of Terror!!! There’s nothing like feeling the free fall and peeking out into the park. It’s so much fun!!!

I’ve never thought about taking dramamine to a theme park, but I will now! My favorite is BTMR!
Amy Tong says
Soarin’ is my favorite as it is enjoyable and not too much motions. I can’t handle too much up side down actions as I got older. Guess I better keep Dramamine in my purse! 🙂
