Enjoy The Best Thrill Rides, Without Motion Sickness

While I love experiencing all of the best thrill rides at Walt Disney World, I admit that I am prone to severe motion sickness. And if you’ve ever been as green around the gills as I have been, then you know that one moment can ruin your entire vacation. Don’t let your motion sickness get in the way of your love of thrill rides and Disney memories.

Non-drowsy Dramamine review

That’s why I always pack DramamineĀ® Non-Drowsy Naturals when we travel. DramamineĀ® has always been my #1 over-the-counter brand (and America’s too!) to help me treat and prevent my severe motion sickness. And this summer, I have DramamineĀ® Non-Drowsy Naturals packed for all of our summer adventures. One dose contains the full clinically-tested ginger dosage for the prevention and treatment of motion sickness. Since it’s made from natural ginger, DramamineĀ® Non-Drowsy Naturals is safe to use every day – even when on the most thrilling rides. I just take a dose 30 minutes before I jump onto a ride so I can enjoy all the best Walt Disney World thrill rides – with no motion sickness!

Big Thunder Mountain

Because we all “DUCK” when we go under the dinosaur bones. This rickety G-force induced train ride is classic Walt Disney World thrills – and has to be a part of this list. HAS to.

Space Mountain

And then you take Thunder Mountain and place it in complete darkness. Terrifyingly fun. The twists, turns, and drops become that much more exhilarating when you can’t see them coming. At all.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

Heigh ho! Heigh ho! It’s off on a thrilling adventure we go! One of the newest thrill rides at Walt Disney World; the long lines prove that this unique coaster is worth waiting for. What makes Seven Dwarfs Mine Train so thrillingly fun? The extra “X” factor with swinging side-to-side bucket seats!

Tea Cups

Why did Tea Cups make this list? Because this thrill ride hides behind a mask of childhood innocence. You think it’s going to be a tame ride, right? I mean look at all of the kids that are screaming with delight! But then the wheel starts turning faster and faster and all of a sudden it hits you…complete heart pounding spinning disorientation.

This popular Epcot attraction takes to the skies! While seemingly tame as you glide along some of the best travel destinations in the world, the 40-foot ride off of the ground and 80-foot curved dome screen definitely adds to the thrill factor of this ride for a full sensory experience!

Expedition Everest

Terrifying heights, a Yeti and a thrilling roller coaster ride backwards – this is Expedition Everest. Animal Kingdom would not be the same without this one-of-a-kind coaster experience – and some of the best views of this Walt Disney World park!

Splash Mountain is the best thrill ride in Disney. Its not too scary and on a hot day, which is frequent in that area, the water makes me feel so refreshed.

A lot of those rides are new since the last time I went to Disney! But my husband wants to take us next year, and I bet he would LOVE the Star Wars ride, which I would I’m sure have to accompany him on (I don’t like rides). I will for sure be packing Dramamine for myself!

I am not into any of the real ‘roller coaster’ type rides, but have always enjoyed Pirates of the Caribbean because of the visual activity. You have to go several times just to catch all of the action, and I am sure that (if they still have it, since it has been several years since my last visit) they have added some new ones.

I love the Florida version of Tower of Terror. I live near Disneyland & California Adventure and go there often, and the Florida version of Tower of Terror is so different from the one here at California Adventure. I actually do find the ride terrifying, especially because you never know what’s going to happen. My husband and I take bets right before the action starts if we begin by going up, or down. šŸ˜‰ And I guess now I’ll have to travel out to Florida to do this ride, seeing how they just rebranded the ride out here in California!
