This is the one Disney drink that I’ve been craving since my Flower and Garden preview this spring. Make your own Copycat Disney Watermelon Slush at home – the perfect family drink for spring, summer…basically all of the time. Non-alcoholic, sweet and light – seriously you’re going to become as addicted as I am.
Copycat Disney Watermelon Slush Recipe
Ever since I had my first sip of the Watermelon Slush at the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival this year, I have been CRAVING this drink. Every. Single. Day.
A perfect sweet and light slush made with watermelon, cucumber and lemonade, I easily consumed 4 drinks at my media preview (I know, classy right?)…then proceeded to complain to my husband for weeks afterward (I love you, honey!) of how much I needed to have more. So it was either make my own or continue to whine.
Yeah, my husband was tired of listening to me too.
So in the attempt to perfect my new favorite drink of the year, I have finally concocted the perfect Copycat Disney Watermelon Slush Recipe, just like the delicious version from the Florida Fresh booth at the Disney Flower & Garden Festival. Be warned, you will be hooked!
If drinks had fad cycles like fashion, this is my new trend of the season. It’s seriously that good. And with only 4 ingredients – just as the simple tasting as it should be. Ready to make your own piece of Disney magic? Grab your blender!
Copycat Disney Watermelon Slush Recipe
Ingredients
- 5-6 Cups of Fresh Watermelon cut into chunks (the riper - the better)
- 12 oz. Frozen Lemonade Concentrate I used Minute Maid
- 2 Cups of Fresh Cucumber - peeled and pureed
- 4 Cups of Ice
Instructions
- Blend together the watermelon, frozen lemonade and cucumber together in your blender until puree consistency.
- Add 4 cups of ice. Pulse blend until slush consistency. Serve immediately.
I know that this makes A LOT of slush – but trust me, it’s worth it. Because you’ll go through 1, 2, 5 cups in a sitting. *Ahem* I’ve been there. And I wanted to use the whole can of lemonade for this recipe so that we weren’t wasting either. But once the slush is made and you happen to have any extra lying around, go ahead and place in your freezer for another day.
Hindsight – yes it probably would taste better with fresh made lemonade. If I had time to milk cows and churn butter – I probably would have whipped up a batch of freshly squeezed lemons to go in the recipe. But this busy mom took her time instead to sip the results 🙂 Maybe a future post?!
Can I just say how seriously delicious this drink was? And yes, I taste tested with a party room filled with adults that night, that were PERFECTLY happy to drink the slush without any alcohol. WIN! Naturally gluten free, dairy free and allergy friendly too, our whole family has found our drink for the next few months in Florida.
