Ocean Prime Orlando | 8 Must Try Dishes
I was NOT the fish gal. In fact, when I had accepted the invitation to enjoy a delectable meal at Ocean Prime Orlando, I planned on going home very hungry.
I was wrong.
A delicious seafood bliss kind of wrong. I am Christie and I am a conformed fish lover, thanks to my experience at one of Orlando’s best seafood restaurants. What dishes turn a land lover into a fish enthusiast? Get your drool catchers ready for these mouth watering pics and 8 must try dishes the next time that you’re in Orlando.

Berries & Bubbles
I stood in mouth gaping amazement, and we were only at drinks. A purely genius cocktail with a presentation unlike any other, the marinated berries, vodka and champagne make a delightful cocktail that literally bubbles as you drink. A signature BANG of a drink, it was a fancy way to start off the evening.
Ahi Tuna Tartare
This was the one dish that I came back for seconds. And maybe thirds. I’m not telling. A beautiful stack of tuna, crispy wonton noodles and avocado perfectly marinated with a hint of sriracha sauce….bliss, folks. Happy tuna bliss.
Sushi
When there’s delicious seafood, sushi isn’t that far away. And if you’re looking for some delicate seafood inspired rolls, Ocean Prime delivers. The Spicy Tuna Roll was my favorite of the night (yes, yet another fish option for me!) with this Prime Roll (that’s beef carpaccio on top) a close second.
Surf N Turf
The classic surf and turf meal has gotten a face lift with Ocean Prime’s twist. A perfectly seared sea scallop paired with fall-off-the-bone slow braised short ribs are a match made in seafood heaven. I cleaned my plate in no time.
Filet
Want a perfectly cooked steak that can be cut with a fork? I found it. The Filet at Ocean Prime is just as perfectly loved as their delicate fish. Tender, juicy and seasoned well, I couldn’t believe how easily I was slicing my meat with what seemed like the wrong utensil. Mmmm, steak.
Teriyaki Salmon
Isn’t this dish just beautiful?? The salmon was moist, flaky and perfectly cooked. And yes, this again coming from someone that previously hated fish. I LOVED this meal. Served on a bed of shiitake mushroom sticky rice and soy butter sauce, topped with beautiful veggie slaw, I could have eaten about 5 of these.
Chophouse Corn
No, this isn’t a mistake. This is by far the BEST side of corn I have ever eaten. Ever. I will come back to Ocean Prime just to order a side of corn. Yes, I will. It’s THAT good.
Baked Alaska
At this point in the meal I was texting my husband to wheelbarrow me out of the restaurant. But then dessert came. I mean, how can you say no to dessert? I can’t be rude, right? This is the dessert you see in amazing restaurant reviews, but rarely get to taste yourself. Baked Alaska combines everything you love about ice cream and cake and marries them together.
Little known secret? Come for the BEST Happy Hour on Sand Lake Road at Ocean Prime Orlando! Live music at the bar Thursday through Saturday until close + $6 cocktails 7 days a week until 7 pm, you can’t beat the modern and upscale atmosphere!

A restaurant for the fish novice or the expert, there’s a whole lot of delicious through those doors. And I am coming back with the husband next round.
