Ingredients

  • 1 lb. of bacon uncooked
  • 1/2 tsp ground red pepper
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder
  • pinch cumin
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • Aluminum Foil
  • Cooking Spray

Drizzle

  • 1/4 c peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp agave syrup
  • 2 tbsp milk

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Move rack to the top position in the oven.
  • On a large baking sheet, cover with aluminum foil. Spray with cooking spray.
  • Line bacon in a single layer on the baking sheet (2 sheets may be necessary).
  • In small bowl, combine sugar and spices until well mixed.
  • Place generous even layer of sugar mixture on top of each bacon slice. Sprinkle any extra on top of bacon slices.
  • Bake in top rack of oven for 15-20 minutes (depending on thickness of bacon), or until bacon is crispy.
  • Immediately remove bacon from baking sheet and blot with paper towel. Transfer to cool in single layer on a plate.
  • Meanwhile, heat peanut butter in small microwaveable bowl for 30 seconds. Add agave syrup and milk until thinned. Quickly drizzle peanut butter mixture on top of bacon slices.
  • Serve warm or at room temperature. Store remaining in tightly sealed container
