Ingredients

  • 15 oz. of Italian Sausage browned and drained
  • 3 cups fresh spinach chopped
  • 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup of Bertolli Riserva Asiago & Artichoke Sauce + extra for dipping
  • 2 11 oz. refrigerated thin pizza crusts
  • 1 TSP of Milk
  • Sprinkle Parmesan Cheese
  • Flour
  • Cooking Spray

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • In large bowl combine browned sausage, spinach, mozzarella cheese, and sauce until well mixed.
  • On a floured surface, unroll one pizza crust. Cut into 4 equal rectangles.
  • In lower left hand corner of one of the pizza crust rectangles, place 1-2 heaping tablespoons of the sausage mixture. Take the upper right hand corner of the crust and fold diagonally down to the lower left hand corner.
  • Using a fork, press together the edges until sealed. Then stab a few holes in the top of your calzone.
  • Repeat for the other 3 rectangles.
  • Unroll second pizza crust and repeat steps until all 8 calzones are made.
  • Place calzones onto sprayed cookie sheets.
  • Brush on thin layer of milk to the tops of each calzone.
  • Top with Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake in oven for 18 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Serve with side of sauce.
